Answer to the drug dosage calculation: 2% lidocaine means 20mg / ml Therefore a 2.2ml cartridge contains 44mg of lidocaine So max number of cartridges = 500 / 44 = 11.36 Therefore max number of cartridges is 11 Well done if you got it right this is actually one of the harder types of drug dosage calculations!
@cerenkoc.c3 жыл бұрын
Why is it 20mg / ml? Shouldn't it be 10mg / ml since 2% of 500 is 10? Sorry I'm asking this so that I can learn and understand where I went wrong. Thank you!
@RohanYesudian3 жыл бұрын
@@cerenkoc.c no worries I also got this wrong first time! If you google "how to convert percentage in concentration", you get the formula % = parts per hundred or grams/100 ml. This should help you work it out :)

Hi @Rohan Yesudian, thank you for the vid! How did you get 44mg?
@wahizmumand518 Жыл бұрын
@@lydiapremkumar3497 Because in each ml there is 20mg so 2ml =40mg And the remaining 4mg it’s 0.2ml x20= 4mg 40+4=44mg

When preparing for MMIs, would you start by just getting used to the format now and the types of questions they ask, and maybe trying to come up with a few answers on the spot. Then, would you start asking maybe family members to test you closer to the time (etc. when you get an invitation to interview 2 weeks before your MMI)? Also, my school does not offer practice MMI and the paid courses are upwards of about £400. Is it sufficient to practice with family and using articles and KZbin videos like this to improe your technique? As well as this, what would be your predictions for NHS hot topics this year?
@ImranAwan-n9s2 ай бұрын
Also, what are the key laws to know before interviews, just to show off your knowledge?
@RA-il3rwАй бұрын
Don't rely on predictions for hot topics, but maybe the vape bans, assisted dying/ euthanasia

Hey man, just wondering when you received your nottingham interview?
@RohanYesudian2 жыл бұрын
I can't remember when I received the invite, but the interview itself was the last week of November for me! Remember that interview invites can take a while to come in and interviews can take place anytime between November and March

Nadia you can only try your best at that point! Stay calm and try work it out from first principles and use common sense. If you are unsure where to start, just tell the interviewer and they might give you further guidance Hope this helps!
