They also make it slightly harder to live entirely off of potatoes as otherwise it's incredibly easy to live off of them forever. (They might also be a hint towards the fact that raw potatoes are poisonous in reality) *-* End stone is about as useless as bricks, it's a building block used for aesthetics and certain mods make use of it to grow plants such as "Ender Lillies" which give you ender pearls when harvested. Also, both end stone and poisonous potatoes can be re-textured and renamed with resource packs to look like something else. *-* Dead bushes are found in deserts and give sticks when broken, they can also be placed in plant pots to look like a dying/dead plant for use in scary builds and horror maps. Again, they can also be re-textured and renamed to something else. *-* Poison potions can be renamed with an anvil to fool your friends, and they can be made into splash and/or lingering potions to throw at other players or mobs. Yet again, they can also be re-textured and renamed with a resource pack to be something else. Also, how inconsistent would it be to have a splash potion of poison but not a regular potion of poison? *-* The diamond hoe is incredibly useful for players who like large farms, iron hoes are a HUGE waste of iron and it's only two diamonds. It's also incredibly useful for mods such as Pam's Harvestcraft that add a ton of new crops and foods to the game. And yet again, they can be re-textured with resource packs, which is very helpful for redstone contraptions and map-makers as players don't usually make it. Also, consistency again, and if anything the GOLDEN hoe should be the most useless in this case, as the benefits of gold is faster digging time and better enchantments, neither of which apply to a hoe. *-* Mundane and thick potions are similar to the poisonous potatoes, except they act as both an ingredient to weakness potions, and a failed potion to hinder the player. The idea behind brewing is that it's supposed to be a trial and error system to learn how to make potions but using random ingredients, not to look them up on the wiki. *-* Golden tools provide faster digging and better enchantments in return for worse durability. Golden swords can dig through cobwebs and wool faster than any other sword, although the effective tool for wool is the shears. They can also be very good with good enough enchantments, which are easier to get than on a diamond sword as they require less XP levels and gold is more abundant than diamond. *-* Finally, dragon eggs can be incredibly useful for redstone contraptions that utilise their teleportation power, and it's also a reward and status symbol for having defeated the final boss of the game. You might aswell go and tell an Olympic athlete that their medals are useless if this is how you think of these types of things. You clearly don't know enough about Minecraft, it's community and it's gameplay mechanics to be able to make this video. Overall, bad video: I suggest you do some research about these things before blindly jumping in claiming that each and every one of them are completely useless.

The dragon egg has a use later on.. Also if your curious to how you can pick up the dragon egg. You have to teleport it somewhere else than the pedestal, dig a hole under the block holding the egg. In that hole place a torch then break the block holding the egg. Viola! You got your self an egg!

The only useless item in minecraft is poisonous potatoes. Cauldron is amazing for redstone, bats for uhc to find caves, silverfish for xp farms as the spawn rate for spawners, mundane and thick for bad effects on potion, dead bushes for sticks, endstone can be an OK block for building and duhhh the end, golden items for Survival Games, and dragon eggs as a trophy as you said and it can be good for decoration

Perfect fix to make the gold sword useful, or at least important. Firstly, make it comparable to the iron sword, if not slightly better. Then, after that, add in a mob that can only be killed with the golden sword, so if you don't have one, you are screwed.

Poison Potion alone is not totally useless. Just rename it Health Potion and prank your friends with it.

I would've liked Mojang to have made some potions only brewable via Thick or Mundane Potions. For example, the Thick Potion could've been used to make a Potion of Sticking that, at first glance, slows the target down worse than Slowing; in actuality, they can climb walls like spiders can... but spiders would be hindered more than helped.

End Stone is sooo useful. After you wipe out the End of the Ender Dragon, put torches everywhere and kill the Endermen, it is very good blast protection unlike Obsidian, which takes forever to mine. I just got most of my inventory filled with End Stone and built my house.

I don't know about bats, they're a surefire way to find caves with the new 1.9 captions, and you can use endstone to farm chorus plants, but those only have one use so no worries :D
