Agree with the general consensus on Tomb Raider. I liked it and I’m not really an Angelina fan. Especially when it came out, it gave young women their own Indiana Jones. It was at the beginning of the strong, female trope, which I certainly appreciated. And Charlie’s Angels… Was fun. As a little girl when the original series came out, I did not feel betrayed at all. this is why I want the MCU to BUILD to the Phoenix Saga, and use the 90s animated series for inspiration on how to get it right. Give us the Shi'ar & the Starjammers, have Jean go away for a while as Phoenix and return for the Dark Phoenix story with the Hellfire Club and the fight on the moon against the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. But the important part is to build up to it properly and not rush the big moments

Mel Brooks' Robin Hood adaptation as the best to date. Sooooooo... Michael Curtiz's Oscar-nominated The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) doesn't exist, neither do Disney's version (1973), Robin and Marian (1976) and probably others. That's way when a ranking list usually says "of all time" and just quotes films, movies or series from the 90s or later, it's most likely and understatement if not a product of poor and neasighted work.

You can't include Robin Hood. It's a constant rebootable in Hollywood. And since Prince of Thieves actually made money, including it as a "terrible adaptation" is incorrect anyway. Instead, you should have included a Hercules bullet. While I enjoyed Dwayne Johnson's Hercules, it didn't perform well, and the one a few years later was forgettable. It's also been a staple of Hollywood for many decades.

Correction, Emma, Errol Flynn's The Adventures of Robin Hook is the All Time Greatest Adaptation. Look for it. Find it. Watch it. Then admit when you're wrong. Men In Tights IS a great #2 because it so righteously lampoons the Kevin Costner Robin Hood film.

The first Tomb Raider movie is excellent, it just is. It's got crazy good action sequences, good humour and the cast had excellent on screen chemistry. If you didn't enjoy the 00's Charlie's Angels, it's possible you don't understand satire at all. They were fantastic. Resident Evil did go off the rails at a certain point, but the first two were very good. How do you call Kiss the Girls anything less than awesome? Did you not see it?

20th Century Fox had to produce a 2nd Fantastic Four movie reboot in order to keep its license from Marvel Entertainment. Every bit of news regarding Josh Trank's reboot did not settle well with fans online. His awful reaction AGAINST those fans made the movie less palatable. What is astoundingly hilarious is that Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer portrayed Galactus as a giant, malevolent cloud, which was just a very awful decision. To top that, the creators of Ryan Reynold's unbeloved disasterpiece Green Lantern decided to make the main bad guy Parallax into a giant cloud, apparently with the idea: "We know how to repeat others' bad decisions just to show that we can make bad decisions."

I didn’t think Fantastic Four was terrible and although not great Rise of the Silver Surfer wasn’t terrible. I enjoyed Hitman and nowhere near terrible. As for Tomb Raider well it’s nowhere terrible, second one isn’t good, punching a shark kinda killed it for me but both are watchable and harmless fun. And I think you missed the point of Charlie’s Angles as it was deliberately made to be bad and OTT as a parody of its genre and I found them hilarious for that aspect.

At the risk of being "that guy" sequel means in a sequence not second. Once a film is made all additional movies that continue the character are sequels (just remaking doesn't make it a sequel so you wouldn't call Prince of Thieves a sequel to Errol Flynn's Robin Hood, but The Godfather III is a sequel to both the first and second)

I notice that there are no mentions of earlier Robin Hood movies, like those ones starring Errol Flynn. But, on the subject of Robin Hood, what could be a really good adaptation could be developments from the 80s TV series Robin of Sherwood. For me, that was the perfect adaptation which was true to a historical adaptation which also blended in the magical and religious elements into it too. If only something could be adapted from that sauce.

If the missions from Hitman movies were played on the video game, 47 would receive the rating of MASS MURDERER for most of them, which in Hitman is the equivalent of a large red F on your English test. In a properly executed Hitman mission... - Only the target dies. - Either his death appears accidental, or his body isn't found until later. - 47 uses stealth, disguises, and distraction to go unnoticed. - The overall scene is undisturbed to the end, as opposed to screams and fleeing civilians. That doesn't mean a Hitman movie can't feature the occasional blown mission that yields a high body count. But I saw both movies, and they needed more fiber wire and less two handed Silverballer blasting.

the 1st Fantastic Four movie, 1st Charlie's Angels movie, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Street Fighter are all just fun movies. Street Fighter isn't exactly good by any normal measure but it's entertaining just just for Raul Julia's scenery chewing awesomeness as Bison. The others are just overhated IMO. Also, G.I. Joe can work great as a movie....case in point, the animated 80s movie set within the run of the animated TV series. Live-Action is where the IP stumbles of course, but it CAN work

What a joke this is.... Critics, fans, historians and everyone in the world agrees (except for your recency bias) that THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD (1938) with Errol Flynn was the definitive and greatest Robin Hood adaptation.... Men in Tights is good, but for you to omit the fact that 80 years ago Robin Hood was done the best (and often considered one of the best swashbuckler adventure films of all time) is a travesty. Your only job is to know movies, yet you act like there has never been a good Robin Hood adaptation???
