One film that was better than the original was Roland Emmerich's 2019 Midway, directed by Jack Smight. Roland Emmerich didn't have too borrow other production's footage, like the Jack Smight one did, and was a better feature for that. Take care, and all the best.

I thought that the remake of True Grit was awful. Other films that SHOULD NOT have been remade?? The Italian Job, The Magnificent Seven. and The flight Of The Phoenix

@krakatoa1200 I personally enjoyed the remake of true grit more than the original 😁 And films that should not have been remade is definitely a list coming soon 😀 spoiler: The Fog!!!

Too many to mention Total recall Karate kid Beauty and the beast (sorry the original had such awesome cast chemistry that you can't recreate)

Cape Fear....Pecks original mostly cuz of censorship and social norms lacked the depth of the 90s thriller The great gatsby....redfords was ok if a bit plodding...but leo captured the ROAR of the 20s way better and had a better tone as a result its no funfest but it didnt have to be the slow downer the 70s film was The thing also had an 80s version in between the original and the cgi...it was decent

@glennstarkey7087 That's "The Thing" that I put in the list 😁 the 1982 masterpiece, as the most recent "CGI" one was a prequel 😊 Cape Fear is a decent shout, too, in all fairness. There may have to be a sequel list to this one as there are loads to choose from 😁

meh. the only really good ones were the thing, the fly and the blob, from the 80s. whereas the 50s versions were boring and had no tits, gore or anything interesting happen
