Kathryn, not sure if you know how many people you touch with your sincere and authentic You Tube channel❤ As with many people living in the time of Covid, I have been in a deep depression, not wanting to do ANYTHING, even get out of bed most days. As I finally sought help, I realized how much I missed watching your channel and how inspiring you are. I owe you an enormous debt of gratitude for motivating me to get my house in order...from deep cleaning, daily cleaning, organizing, decorating, and SO, SO, SO much more! The part of your presentations that speak to my soul and lift me out of sadness is when you finish with: "I am grateful for you, and if nobody's told you today...YOU ARE ENOUGH!" Bless you, Kathryn and thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤🙏🐶🐾 (that's my pup)

I meant to also say that I have the same thing going on with cookie sheets, baking pans, etc. All of them on top of each other under the oven in a drawer. I don't know how the one I use most always finds its way to the bottom of that drawer. 😉 Am I the only one? (going to be buying lots of napkin holders tomorrow haha)
@lyssalove50814 жыл бұрын
They actually have a product at Dollar Tree in the kitchen area that is made to hold the lids for pots & pans, I also use it for my cookie sheets, muffin tins, really anything I can think of!! lol I absolutely LOVE THEM! They work well for the larger lids and cookie sheets, etc., because the openings are wide so it allows the lids to lay over at an angle, instead of straight up, that way they can fit into shorter cabinets and it makes it very easy to get them in and out. I have a bunch of them in my craft room also, they work great for many of my scrapbooking, stamping & card making supplies. I actually use them in the bathroom as well, like Fair Critique mentioned, they work wonderful for makeup pallets and lots of other bathroom items as well! If you don’t find them in the kitchen section they are also usually with the home storage/organization items (not food storage, but with the buckets & bins, larger storage type items), near the dish drying rack and dishwashing buckets (for lack of a better term??). Along with those will be little racks that you can use in your cupboards or on shelves that allow you to more easily stack items. For instance, coffee cups, you can have one layer on the bottom and then place these little racks over them and you have a second layer of space to double the number of coffee cups that will fit in that space. They’re especially helpful in the bathroom for all the little bottles and small things you need to store, you can make better use of the big cupboard under the sink. I should shut-up now, I know, but one last thing, if you use the little racks (I know I’m not explaining them very well), and your items are small or tipping over because of the space between the bars that make the shelf, you can buy the clear flexible plastic cutting boards in the kitchen area, I believe it’s 2 in a package and you can cut them to fit the size of your shelf/rack, therefore making a smooth, solid surface for your items to stand on. If you do this it will also allow you to stack multiple racks and make even better use of tall cabinets and cupboards. Sorry for the SUPER LENGTHY explanation, I have just had such great success using these few items, I felt like I should share my knowledge. We just moved into a new home and I used so many products from the Dollar Tree to organize my kitchen, bathrooms, and craft room, it literally would have cost thousands of dollars to do it any other way! Anyone who sees how I’ve organized everything thinks I’ve spent a fortune, no one can believe that I did it using items from there. It’s just a matter of what you choose and how you use it.

Good idea, but I don't think I would use to hold food unless it specifically said it was food safe. Some metals & metal treatments can be very toxic & any kind of twine or rope I've purchased from D.T. has had a strong chemical odor. China doesn't follow the manufacturing standards we do in the states. Honestly, I don't even have faith that their dish ware is safe; have you noticed the uneven finishes on cups & plates? It makes me wonder. But that's just my opinion, y'all do what you feel is best for you.
@bethknight44364 жыл бұрын

@@trout825 They sell Polymer clay (you have to bake in oven) at DG for around $4. And the brick is enough that it can be cut in sections to stretch it along. And there are tons of ideas on how you can also add color to the clay, before/instead of painting. It allows them to be creative while also giving time to be able to still work with the clay before baking it. Meaning Polymer clay is still workable until it's baked in the oven. So they will be able to continue working with and on it for as long as you want! There's also many videos with ideas, tips & tricks in using and storing the clay. But being as young as they are, you'd wanna either make sure they know it's NOT EDIBLE, and to always wash their hands before and especially after working with it. If you don't wanna use that, there's always How To's on making your own air-dry clay (even a homemade bake-in oven clay). However way you wish to go, that's just one idea you could also implement for any subject as well as art!

That was super cute! I loved it! I wish I had enough counter space in my kitchen to make a couple. I would make some for the wall, but I don't have much of that space, either, lol!

Oh my goodness Kathryn you’ve done it again! Love these ideas and I’m so using the napkin holder organizer! We have all three boys home schooling this year and I’ve been looking for something to organize their laptops on our very small desk. Thank you thank you!

I believe it was you that took the square stackable Dollar Tree college bins and zip tied them together in a four cube to store lotions, shower gels, deodorants and such. I tried it and was so excited I fell in love a $5 DIY craft transformed my room. I love it. Thanks for sharing your DIY TIPS AND HACKS. I appreciate all you do 🤗

Great video! I love those black metal hooks I just seen them the other day and I picked it up there so much better quality than the other ones that DT sells, and sturdier! I have one over the front door of my apartment, (facing the inside of our house, of course,) to hang our masks and other things. Works great! The silver colored ones work great too. The white ones are flimsy, but I use it in the kitchen to hang over the cupboards for our pot holders and oven mitts. Works for that purpose, anything else would be too heavy.

great idea! Will have to snag that purpose -- mask hooks. Thank you!

@@cathy8086 They are real unassuming. One Dollar Tree in my area totally replaced the black ones from the ones they normally carry. Lol!

I have been hanging circular knitting needles (anti-kinking), the mirror and knob is a great new way to do that.
