The Uyghurs are an oppressed Muslim minority in the Xinjiang region of China. The government has put millions of them, children, and otherwise, in concentration camps, which are branded as "re-education" camps. These camps have even had reports of organ harvesting, and the fact that people are tortured is widely accepted. The Uyghur homeland, Urumqi, is widely monitored, with cameras lining every street. If I got something wrong, I'm sorry, I am just a high school student with background information on this topic bc of debate.

I'm all for the liberation of Uyghurs in western Xinjiang but I would like people to stick with the facts of the problem so that the movement is not derailed. What's happening the Xinjiang is mass brainwashing not killing. People are comparing it with the holocaust with 8 million Jews killled. This is simply not factual.

@@DrBastycore If you trace where the evidence of killing comes from, you find there's only 8 eye witnesses accounts from people backed by us funded NGOs. The New Times leak of the comminist parties manifesto itself has zero references to torture or killing. Search up Rushan Abbas on Reddit. He did an ama claiming his sister's were being tortured in Xinjiang and quickly got exposed by the Reddit community. My point is that some of the facts are getting conflated by politcians due to the geopolitical climate we are in between the us and china.
