It's me! Reporting to you this time from my cosy sofa. Make yourself a pot of tea and get into some comfortable clothes for this one - it has alllll the cosy and calm vibes for this wet Friday afternoon! (It's raining heavily in England!) Today I have 10 of my favourite British quotes to share with you. You will feel calm and cosy but also inspired! I have more to share with you but I have to say, these ones really speak to me! I hope you enjoy hearing about them as much as I enjoyed talking about them! I felt so calm after that I nearly fell asleep haha.

However I love that quote which to me speaks of our deep self, of our conscience (which for me is a only a product, an emanation of physics, chemestry and biology), of these immaterial things that constitute our relations and interactions with life, things, others, our connection to the world. Thx a million Kath, we need English native speakers like you explaining these sayings , and quotes, in the context . In technology (e.g. aviation ) and medical procedures you hear a lot " It s better to be safe than to be sorry " , in context than you have to evaluate and minimize the risks beforehand , have risk management . Wise men say -Only fools rush in (= Elvis Presley quote) , have a plan B when things arent running smoothly , always think twice , check and double- check...

Love all the quotes you mentioned. I was so self centred back in the days and inspired the quotes like “ be phenomenal or be forgotten “ “ only one but lion” for self motivation. I Love English classical literature ❤I am re-reading Thomas Hardy’s set of books starting with desperate remedies only this time I am also looking up each word that I don’t understand and writing it down ❤ English is such a rich language and there are many words that I don’t understand. I just love learning new words, it’s my passion. I always write in my laptop the difficult words that I dont know in alphabetically order , and write the complete sentence below . May I advice you, as a fellow student , to write the complete sentence , and translate it completely to your own mother language . And in a laptop you can search for a word in future with the " find " function . You will memorize complete sentences better . Success
