Today's video highlight ten of the most difficult metal songs to sing! Obviously I could make 100 of these videos because there is so much vocal talent in metal. It was hard to choose just 10 songs for this video, and I'd love to hear your suggestions in the comments for another video like this.
0:44 1 "We All Die Young" - Steel Dragon/Steelheart
3:20 2 "Given Up" - Linkin Park
4:40 3 "Ghost Love Score" - Nightwish
6:39 4 "Deadhead" - Devin Townsend
7:54 5 "War Cry " - Outworld
9:34 6 "Painkiller" - Judas Priest
10:44 7 "Love Hate Love" - Alice In Chains
12:06 8 "Through the Fire and Flames" - Dragonforce
13:13 9 "Highlander" (The One) - Lost Horizon
14:23 10 "Cemetary Gates" - Pantera

I would love to see Hansi Kursch in the next edition, either with Blind Guardian or Demons & Wizards. Geoff Tate on Take Hold of the Flame. I have not ever heard anyone cover it without having to fudge some parts. No one can go through that spectrum. Funny things trip me up. Kiss- I was made for loving you I'm all comfortable with the lower pitch and then about two min in he just launches. I can do Painkiller but I can't do Boston-More than a feeling (all the rest of Boston yes) I don't even want to practice the range in Steelheart She's gone AND I'll never let you go. But I like doing Incubus - Love Hurts. Rarely get through Aerosmith -Dream On If it's a difficult song I have to have it Perfect in my mind. (I don't) Everything, no improv at all. All the workouts to get that range non-volitile again. Thankfully I grew up on pentatonic scale rock so now there is that challange. Jogging and breathwork songs.... maybe tomorrow.

Yea highlander is definitely #1 hardest song i can think of...and daniel is still pulling stuff like that off on recent albums from Dimhav and Warrior Path. Some perhaps lesser known songs that definitely could be on this list: Shaman - Fairy Tale Songs from Mike Patton, like Moonchild-Abraxas. You never hear such control on such high screams Twilight Force - Twilight Horizon Anything from Dale Thompson, he's a christian rock singer with 6 octaves (C1-Eb7) of vocal range that he has kept up into his late 50s. Tons of his songs are crazy hard to sing. Majestica - Father Time (tried this as a karaoke once, it's way harder than it sounds) Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Ascending to Infinity Sone female representation: Seven Spires - God is Dead. The diversity of vocals in this would be so hard to cover

Archspire - Bleed The Future or almost anything by Archspire. The sheer velocity and precision of his diction is beyond me. Shadow Of Intent - The Heretic Prevail. The breakdown. Enough said. Vektor - Terrastructural Minds. The high pitched screams of the beginning and at the end of the song. Slaughter To Prevail - Demolisher. Unbelievably low growls in Russian nonetheless.

Hey! I love this video! PLEASE - MOREEEE OF THIS CONTENT! I personally think every Linkin Park song is a hell to sing if you're not into mix the prince and the beast in the same person (wish I could) Of course Nightwish had to be in there! Still my favorite band since I was 11! Nightwish was super enhanced by Floor! I would love if people could give some credits for After Forever! She does that on the band since the start! I think André Mattos, one of the most incredible metal vocalists that passed away years ago gave Fairy Tale: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpjCmIKnj9qXgas I think metal has the most difficult songs ever, but that guy - is beyond!

Oh yeah Andre Matos had some highs that I have no idea where they came from haha and so much talent going on when he was super young too!

Instead of We all die young by Steelheart, I would have went with one of their other songs She's Gone. Alot more range needed for that one than we all die young. Possibly even I'll never let you go( angel eyes)

Found a video by Elizabeth Zharoff of the Charismatic Voice showing a camera put in Will Ramos's throat as he does vocal fry's. I thought this might be interesting to you. It's about 52 minutes long, but the camera part starts halfway through the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5KbhKiNg7Wlgqc

Bird of prey by Uriah Heap seems like it would be difficult for a man to sing. It's also quite funny, I mean...the sound of the vocalist's voice in this song. But also good.

Phil Anselmo was a beast on Cowboys from hell, Heresy and Shatterd are two tracks that are much faster and he mixes the styles alot. Power metal are no brainers when it comes to hard to sing and some singers are gifted, just look at Kiske in Helloween, nowdays he dosnt sing without effort (he still sounds AMAZING) but when he was young it looked like a walk in the park. One person that is forgotten sometimes is Mike Patton, Faith no mores stuff might not be hard at all to sing other projects he is involved in are, have seen him do all kinds of styles of music.

Harsh stuff Lorna Shore, To the hellfire - Me personally not a big fan, but you gotta acknowledge Will Ramos and what he is doing for harsh vocals. Slaughter to prevail, Demolisher - not a lot of people can hit that low note, he deserves a mention Hypocrisy, Taste the extreme divinity - range, the way Peter Tägtgren goes from insanely low growls to highs is insane, also his tone of screaming is what got me personally into death metal and harsh vocals. Strapping young lad, Shitstorm - Devin there hits the same, or even higher notes than Deadhead. Which already deserves to be on such a list, but cmon lets change things a bit. Khanъ, Небе (Sky) - The old vocalist, Jo Vasilev does a 30 seconds scream in it, that's the reason why.

That was Scott Travis the drummer of Judas Priest, not Ripper Owens who much later became the vocalist. Also, there are far worse examples of Mark Wahlberg's actual vocal skills. There's a shower scene in that movie he did about being in the Army, and also his singing in Boogie Nights.

Right - I know the difference between Scott and Ripper 😆 I don’t think you realized it’s a a clip of a interview where Scott is speaking about hiring Ripper. I am not sure why you would think I was mistaking Scott for Ripper. The edit is not confusing.
