Thank you for this video! I think your opinions are on point. If you want to rescue your Stila glitter shadows add a few drops of Inglot duraline. You can also use duraline it to rescue cream eyeshadows, liners, and brow gels. Its great to have around.

The satin formula in the UD Born to Run makes me 💤. The color scheme would have been killer with a more high impact metallic formula. Also, deeply offended that nobody told me that the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation smelled like paint...the entire time it's on your face!

Nah that Kevyn Aucoin powder is 10/10 worth the hype lol yes it’s expensive, but I have deadass been using mine like 5 days a week for the past 3 years and I still have tons of product left. Shit lasts forever 🙏 plus if you get one of their face palettes the price ends up being a lot better value.

Another perfect dupe that i prefer over tatcha is Tony Moly The Choc Chok green tea watery cream. Its frankly amazing and 30 bucks for the larger jar. I find it more moisturizing, making it viable for my drier skin, but not to heavy to cause issue for oily skin. Im an makeup artist and esthetician within the fashion advertising side of the industry.

I'm always shocked that people don't like the ND formula. It blends super easily for me, and I love the buttery shimmers. Even the mini Lila works well for me. I actually get more compliments wearing that palette than any other I own. I don't judge the prices companies charge, since it's their product to charge what they like. Consumers can decide whether they want to pay. I'm willing, but usually wait for a discount.

Another product that I think is overhyped that has a cult following is the makeup revolution conceal and define concealer. I can’t get over the INTENSE paint smell that is product has. It also only became full coverage if you let it sit on your face for a few minutes to build up the coverage due to how thin and watery this product is. Even though it was only a $7 concealer, maybelline makes better concealers for a similar price that don’t smell like paint.

The new hydrating one is better... But I agree it's overhyped. It causer me a breakout it's drying very quickly... As an eyeshadow base it's nice. But but but... The shade range. I'm olive, a light olive, and they have a light olive. It's a warm toned one but no one is doing cool toned olive so I won't be too harsh on them about that. It's still rare to have light olive and Makeup revolution is one of the fire having it for a low price... :/ The new hydrating one is still not that great, it's just better. Where I disagree is the consistency to me it's to thick and I have to water it by wetting my sponge -a lot- or else it's not good on my skin.

Just stumbled upon you and really liked this video for your personality and intelligence that comes through. You speak so eloquently, which is rare to see in beauty videos. I don’t agree with Natasha and Viseart, but pretty much everything else I totally agreed with. Especially born to run, which is driving me insane trying to do looks with it. I don’t mind muted colors when it’s intentional, but BTR looks like it was trying to be a vibrant palette. It missed the mark and takes forever to create a look with because you have to keep layering it up as its constantly blending away as you work. Natasha.... I will say her palettes lack consistency, which is unacceptable really at that price point. However, when I like her palettes, I LOVE them. And Viseart, they are a formula I know like the back of my hand. Truly consistent, excellent pigmentation, and amazing blendability. They don’t have flashy packaging, and I think sometimes the overall color story doesn’t look as interesting or cohesive as the palettes that consumer driven brands are pushing out. And I think those two things contribute to people not loving their $80 purchase as much as they would if it looked prettier on the outside. I’m not trying to push it on you though, we all have different opinions and it’s fine if you don’t love them like I do. I’m just offering my opinion on the topic.

I mix mine with the nyx gotcha covered concealer to use them both up because separately neither work for me, one being way too dewy and the other a desert, together I look like I actually drink all the water I should be consuming daily. Don’t have 35O morphed palette but I have been super into buying older morphed palettes that nobody talks about anymore. I recently picked up the 35F and it’s so nice and filled with every shimmer you could want for fall. Same for the 35T if you’re into taupes.

I completely agree with you with regard to the Born to Run palette. It feels like a very hard pressed formula. I thought it was just me not having the skill to work with it. It was the first big palette I invested in and was a bit disappointed. x

natasha denona is mixed bag for me. def overhyped. i only have the 2 newer big paletes (biba and safari). i love the safari, the biba is kinda meh (it's a neutral palette). i think the mattes in those palettes are much better than the shimmers. i haven't tried the older formula, or the 5 pan/minis. the tropic palette was pretty great for the more traditional colors, but the shimmers and brights were terrible. i did return it, even though i liked half of it. I don't regret the purchases i've kept, i do use them everyday. i've wanted to try pat mcgrath, but i'm not sure how much use i'd get out of the bronze seduction palette. i really want a single of that one blue shimmer in the earlier mothership palette. i dislike any drugstore foundation, but especially the photofocus.

The only Natasha palette I feel is worth buying is the Gold palette the rest are over priced and over hyped I agree. Also I use the inglot duraline drops, they will bring the stila liquid glitters back to life only use a few drops if you use too much you will actually dry them out more. But I agree they shouldn’t be drying out that quickly in the first place

Most recent overhyped-maybelline urban dream cover. Its supposed to be long wearing ,has spf..but it transfers terrible with a lil sweat. I was horrified how much came off when I dabbed my face a lil on a hot day to get access oil off my forehead/nose and chin. I never had that happen with a foundation that extreme. I also didnt put that much on😳

Urban Decay's born to run here in my country is underrated, but I love it. As you said, I'm not really into the bold makeup looks so for me it's really the only palette I need. The only shades I was disappointed are the pink and the purple "shimmers", I think they could have been much more sparkly 😂😍. It depends on the person I guess ❤️

I'm surprised you hate the photofocus foundation so much, that is literally the only foundation I like. It is the only foundation that doesn't look super artificial or break down super bad at the end of the day. Whenever I try something else I'm like "girl you're so stupid for not using the wet and wild one when you know it works". It's wild how different skin types can have wildly different experiences, though I safely reccomend it to anyone looking for a new foundation because 6 bucks isn't a lot to risk just to try it out

I actually prefer Natasha Denona over Pat McGrath lol, I have three of her palettes rn (gold, lila, and sunrise) and another coming in the mail (metropolis). So far, they perform beautifully on me and do not crease or fade after time (that being said, i haven't had any of these for a year yet, so dunno if they will not perform as well after time). On the other hand, my experience with pat mcgrath (sublime palette) was that they creased no matter what I did, and were slightly hard for me to blend and just didn't look good. maybe it was the colors, idk, i really wanted to like it (i did like the two topper shades), but just didn't seem to work out. still tempted to try one of her other palettes tho.

i agree with so many of these... i feel like the only one out there, who hates the urban decay born to run packaging. i really don’t like it, aesthetically, it’s so busy & cluttered and when i saw the inside i was just ‘meh’. just not for me. & i was starting to roll my eyes over every sephora recommendation video coming up to sales, having that one in it. & then i also just... i’m not a big glitter fan, so i’ve never cared for the stila glitter and glows, i like the shimmer ones that are more metallic looking & they have never gotten the love the glitter ones do.
