My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.

Totaly agree, I've been in constant touch with a Financial Analyst for approximately 8 months. You know, these days it's really easy to buy into trending stocks, but the task is determining when to sell or keep. Started my business and opened my lease May 8th 2019....then the pandemic hit February 2020. Did I know it was coming? Nope, didn't panic neither. Absolutely amazing all you packed into a 957min video equipping all viewers with great advice for the recession we are in. Also, you were proven to be correct about the housing crash, as our interest rate stress test in Canada has now hit 7.5%, and we have another Rate Hike announcement Sept.07th. So, even with 50 basis points Sept 07th it will move qualifying to a whopping 8%. Well, the average house price in Vancouver BC was about 1.6million and Toronto was sitting at 1.4million. Now, we are seeing outlying properties dropping $500,000 and 1 in 4 mortgages are set on variable rates.

Heck, these lessons could be applied when the pandemic occurred. During downturns or troubled times, you separate the pretenders from the contenders. The contenders are going to take advantage of the opportunities, while the pretenders are exposed for their bad management. Overall, great tips for those willing to strategize and evolve during these times.

Same in Ireland. It costs 60% more overall for week to week life compared to this time last year. I know people who are feeding their children the cheapest noodles, or tripe for dinner and giving them leftovers for school lunches (our children don't get free lunches here) I bet I'm going to know an awful lot more people come this winter. People are being made to decide whether to feed themselves or pay their electric bill.
