Additional note about Pro Keys: When an instrument is played using the keyboard (Keys, Pro Keys, Guitar or Bass), it uses a different window of timing - one that is **even **_tighter_**** than the other instruments. Pro Keys is already a massive learning curve, but the altered timing window makes Roundabout's Gtr Break require even more precision than what would be expected.

Hey man just want to thanks for what you do, on behalf of the entire rhythm game community. Your content is incredible and it is the reason why I got back into rhythm games after not playing for years. I’m sure your content hyped up other rhythm gamers/ex rhythm gamers. Keep up the good work man. You have the most underrated KZbin channel out there. While I don’t think you will ever “take off” due to the small size of the community, we all love your videos and really appreciate your hard work. Cheers man

@DDRaHolic 3 жыл бұрын
For the ITG and DDR scores you mentioned, I think you confused "ahead of their time" with "amazing unique achievement". These scores are very niche and would likely not be attempted by anyone before or since. No one really played 1x at a high level by the time ITG came out other than Pickles, and no one plays doubles, much less stealth AAAing doubles charts. A better Bloodrush score to have mentioned would have been Kevbo's 25 Excellent run from Dec 28, 2006. He later would get 5e on March 23, 2007. Both scores are so impressive still today, and doubly so back when most players couldn't dream of being consistent on 12s and above. A better DDR stealth score would have been one you mentioned previously, which is BlueMystic's AAAs on many of the old 10s on DDR Extreme. Or perhaps JSB or the early to mid-2000s players' runs on Legend Road. I know you just did a LR video though. That said, this was a nice tribute to some excellent play.
@EtienneYT
@EtienneYT 3 жыл бұрын
That's more or less why I included them haha. Their unique ability was something that no one else was able to discipline themselves to the point of WinDEU and Koboyan's skills. Sure, there's no concrete baselines to go off, but I think it's still somewhat of a safe bet to make due to the natural skill curve of how hard those accomplishments truly are from a fundamental standpoint.

From osu! there's also a few more cool scores like Bikko's Helix FC and other crazy acc scores, and Shige's Yomi Yori and Kegare plays, GN's TAG4 stuff, but I understand there needs to be room for other rhythm games and I think the Freedom Dive placement is above these anyways, great list. :) EDIT: Also a insane score that I think people kinda forget exists is Shige's Furioso Melodia HDHR FC, that's honestly still wild RN and I have no idea when that's getting sniped or having a score set close to it.

If there's ever a sequel to this, one score I recommend is TheDrumFreak109's FC of Hot For Teacher Expert+ Drums. It was done on PS2 GH:VH with potato quality, but the FC was uncontested for so long that it took *EIGHT YEARS* for a second person to do it (specifically, Nolan "dayzeed/slashno)". It's the largest gap in time between a first and second FC in the Guitar Hero franchise that I know of.

Taichi's 95.9% FC on machinegun psystyle (5th hardest ranked map) for beat saber O.O He got it in a tournament 4 months ago with no fail on, so the score never submitted- but no one has gotten even remotely close since then, #1 now on it is like 95.3% The difference between 95% and 96% is literally insane, if you've ever played beat saber you'd know. @makifei I get it, I _really_ do. But before you begin comparing yourself to others, you must find something that you enjoy. Don't be locked out of something popular because the current skill ceiling is so high. If you choose something based on how easily you'll become number one, you will be the *saddest* record holder on the face of the Earth. Compare that to becoming *just great* at something you find fun, and you'll definitely be in a better mindset to grind for the highest ranks. Keep in mind that those who become the best have one thing in common, which is that they practice. Which leads to my most important advice: Strive for personal virtuosity. Track your progress solely through previous achievements. Start becoming THE best *after* you become your OWN best. Don't use others' skill to see how much further you have to go, but as a reminder of what you'll become. Good luck out there.
