Dana White has said one of the main reasons they had the big Jumbotron screen and WWE Style walkout ramp was because in the early days they were barely selling half the Arena's they went to. By putting up the giant stage and curtains behind it they were able to cut off a third of the building making the arena look more full.

Personally I'd love to see more elaborate entrances for the fighters. At the very least the UFC should go all out for there champions. Not only would it be entertaining it would also allow the fighters to express themselves and show the world a bit of who they really are. It could even add some value to the belt itself. Especially if title holders were the only fighters that are given these elaborate entrances.
