I'm 61 yrs old ,didn't even know what an introvert was until my nephew recently said that's what I was . I looked it up and sure enough . All my life I've been fighting my rage and so far to no avail I hate it To me it's easy Not to direct my rage toward another person,I love all people,but I just don't want to talk to most of them. same here people don't really see me as an introvert they take me as an extrovert because I am a happy go lucky person and I like to talk a lot and I'm very energetic that's why but it's actually just few major extrovert things that I have in me soon after that, all of a sudden like I really become like, you know, I don't want anyone I don't talk to anyone and I just want to be alone rn I get irritated very fast when somebody throws questions especially repetitive questions and silly questions but sometimes I like questions like that are thought provoking. It's the vibe ig. Also I don't like people at all and sometimes I do if they seem intelligent and understanding. so I guess I maybe an introverted extrovert what do u think mate ?

You don't stick to people You don't vibe with. And those that fit also let You open up. I guess You are a so called social introvert.

My extrovert gaslighting husband pisses me (a introvert) off. Just today I had rage of what he has said to me. Glad I was home alone for awhile while he was at work so I can calm down. When I dont calm down and act upset, he will say "Whats wrong with you?" Wrapping myself up in a blanket helps calms me down.

I can relate to some of this introvert personality, but my inner self rebels with such confining behavior. I need to talk to people regularly. And I'm not afraid to share deep conversations with new people. If they don't relate, I just move on. Sometimes it's depressing, but more often it's rewarding. I'm trying to understand my sister who claims to be an introvert. It's hard to accept. She wants a relationship on her terms. What about my terms? It has to go both ways. If I leave her alone, she's upset I'm not in touch. If I call or invite her out, she rejects my offers and makes conversation uncomfortable such that why should I bother? Why should I keep seeking her company only to face constant rejection? I gots feels too. Respect goes both ways. Love takes guts. You gotta meet people halfway. We all have to step out of our comfort zone as well as protect ourselves from situations that hurt us. Part of me wants to go to her house and let her know I miss her too, but I don't think we're ever going to be close again like we were because I'm not going to keep setting myself up to be pushed away and abandoned. F that.

As an introvert, I do not get mad. I am too busy using the event as a case study to analyze. As to the person who tried to get me mad, they are a lost cause to me. I do not care about them and am content to leave them be. If they try to be friendly with me, it is impossible. That bell has been rung. I am polite and civil to them. Nothing more. I have had an extrovert tell me that my indifference to another person was not to their liking. Tough. I refuse to waste my time and energy on a lost cause. It is that simple. No malice, just no.

I would add that introverts don't rage over nothing, or lose their temper frequently over small things. Most of the time, when the introvert gets to the rage stage, the other person has driven them there, and they can't take it anymore.

Interesting.....this was so accurate that I cringed a 'lil. Always missunderstood and under valued-the odd girl who doesn't think like most people and is just all around different. An introvert that naturally evolved into a low-key individual as well. Think it was just next logical step to keep the amt of drama very low. When I do decide to socialize, I typically am the 1st to leave. I refuse to be bored in public, and just hanging out lookin all kinds of thirsty.

I am an introvert. I experience no rage with others. I do not interact with others in an interpersonal manner. Thus, I am known by no one and I know no one as well. This will assure I experience no emotions with humans at all. A true introvert experiences no emotions with others. We avoid them.

@@vitas75 We are interacting through correspondence now. This is enough for me. There is no dependency on anybody, for anything, with this life strategy. There is little chance I could have prospered, as I have, being social. Self-reliance, independence, freedom, can not possibly be realised, at the level I live, if I was part of the social herd, nor even if I had interference from another. An attempt was made to assimilate the customs and protocols of being social in the beginning of 1999 to the middle of 2000. The results were extremely undesirable. The attempt was only made because of pressures from my doctor. The resulting, very painful, failure assures there will be no future attempts at assimilation into a social herd, nor for amicable, nor amorous, relationships. There is no reason to attempt the failed venture again with the prosperity achieved using the current strategy. There is little reason to alter a proven successful formula for life, as well. Few can claim successful life strategies as successful as mine has been. A prime example of successes achieved through social isolation is this correspondence. English is not my original, nor primary, language. It is self taught in order to facilitate the reading and understanding of some schematics not available at work in the two other languages I utilise. The primary reason to have made this KZbin account is to perfect my English written and reading skills. Being social would have consumed the time I utilised to teach myself English. Sure have, every time i reach my limit of someones dumbshit. And its true about the ignoring you when introvert is mad at you because ive done and have been ignoring many people thats crossed me. I told them all that after we parted ways or stopped texting at the moment of the incodent that i would treat them as if they was gone from this world and so far i kept my word. Its been 30 years dor the longer one and a few months for the most recent. I did warn them all even the family members that in had a superpower that allows me to just cut them out of my life along with the time wasting drama and not think twice. People do harm whether physical or mental they will do it as long as they are in your life so i tell them fuckoff i wont see you again. Hard ro find a good girlfriend to have lasting life with but i enjoy being alone anyway but would be nice to have a introverted lady to sit quietly with. and being both introverts the sitting tohether closely on the coutch in silence would be comfortable fornus both instead of constantly being told im boring and im akward ro be around because im to quiet. Some people just dont appreciate us introverts ability to sit quiet and listen.
