Stan Lee had a great explanation for Jameson's anger at Spider-Man too I wanna say that it was because he found people going crazy about a guy in tights was stupid and shallow vs him wanting his son the astronaut to be seen with the admiration that people share for Spidy. I think that was from the mid to late 60's or early 70's though I may be wrong.

woah woah woah, 2 types of spiders in particular have great eyesight. jumping spiders need to calculate the equivalent of a human leaping several city blocks in order to land on their prey as they don't use webs to hunt. the other example is a spider with such powerful vision that since they can't close their eyes the go blind everyday when the sun comes out n spend an hr or so regenerating their eyes at dusk to hunt all night long. n as for the spidey sense, in the comics it is explained as part of his Totem status, he n many other spider Totems throughout the multiverse have a strong connection to the Web of Life which exists outside of time n space n this is where his Precognition comes from n explains that he can only sense the threads attached to him n thusly his spidey sense can only react to things that threaten him

When a Native American artist would create a totem pole, the master artist would work on the figures at ground level while apprentices would get stuck doing the figures higher up.
