on the subject of enchanted food, sometimes i bless+enchant all my groceries before putting them in the fridge. I SWEAR they last 3x longer. the strawberries in particular just seem to last forever!! 🙌🏽 it's perfect for my adhd when i just forget the food in the fridge exists 😂

i crochet plushies and have been starting to play with the idea / energy of imbuing them with magical energy and items by putting stones or other magical objects in the heads and bodies as i make them. so excited to explore working with a poppet for myself! i can’t believe i haven’t done this yet! grateful for your words and advice as always Kelly-Ann, witnessing your magical practice has taught me so much 🖤

I am turning 30 this year which is big in itself but I am also a mother of 3 and a wife and honestly this past year has been so draining. So for 2024, my 30th year, I have decided to romanticize my life to the fullest. Sacred dress up, hyping myself up for what my power truly can do, all of it. This video has been so wonderful to watch and has given me so much inspiration for the year ahead.

This video has helped me a lot. In my spirituality, I've had to change the ways I do things because of an injury that resulted in nerve damage and disability. There are days, weeks, where doing my chores is all I can do. And I decided to give these chores to my spirituality. Making my bed, doing dishes. Getting my house work done and making my space clean is important to me. My husband bought me some second hand drums, a couple different kinds. Something to use to keep my hand limber since that has nerve damage, a different way to exercise that limb. That branches out into my husband finding used flutes, finger pianos, rattles, singing bowls, etc. for my hand. Now seeing how you use drums as a spiritual item, that would also benefit me, even if it's a banged up pair of bongos. It's a workout and drumming music all in one. And I know I will never be a musician, but it wouldn't be the point, now would it? I love reading by never thought of it in the way you do. I've been buying second hand books, some spiritual text from various faiths just for something to read this winter when I'm bored. I need to think more outside the box for my devotionals as I try to rebuild how I think and feel about everything. I feel like I've been stuck for years in a cycle of grieving for what I cannot do anymore, the lose of my job and certain abilities. But you have opened my eyes to new possiblities in how to make things I try to do into something sacred. I may not have the ability to take long hikes in the woods, but I can bang on my drums. I can clean my house and dedicate that to whatever I believe in, which is shifting for me right now. I can read spiritual works of all kinds to gain understanding. Even watching videos like this one can be spiritual.

Thank you for sharing this list of juicy tools. I utilise some of them (enchanting food and drink and chanting/affirmations on rain walks are two faves of mine). Breathwork is another huge one for me, it helps me regulate my nervous system. I also love to work with tarot, especially for readings and pathworking. I love your poppet ideas and the drumming, I've toyed with learning to play the bodhran for years but I know my neuro-spicy brain probably wouldn't stick to it.

I have a chant that I sing at the beginning of my showers. Then...I sing at the top of my lungs to whatever song is playing on my speaker. Singing for me is definitely a joyful, releasing, present moment for me. I am often tempted to put a podcast on while in the shower, but I make sure it's music...something that I need to connect with in order to let go or to take in. I hope that makes sense

Praying the novena has been life changing. I've been a bit adrift from my spiritual practice, which is also tied into my art practice. I'm starting to get back into. I love the idea of pre-blessing my tea! I'm going to try that.

When you pray the rosary and meditate on the mysteries, do you mean the Catholic mysteries or have you put together your on subjects to meditate on?
@kelly-annmaddox Жыл бұрын
My mysteries are my own - based on the themes of the Catholic ones with the same names (Luminous, Sorrowful etc) but switched to focus on healing and psychospiritual growth. 🥰

Lovely video, though I was really waiting for you to hit that drum to hear its sound. That was suspenseful. 😂 And I love the earrings. Makes me wonder if people will even still know what they're about in a few years when they watch this video. Seeing history evolve and thinking about how this time of our collective human experience will be perceived in 20, 30, 50 years is a strange thing... Thank you for your work.

If you like spiritual text, you might enjoy the channel Esoterica. It's a fantastic channel! Breaks down complicated texts in a way that is much easier to grasp, though it doesn't appear to be dumbed down at all.
