"Forgetting it's a puppet" is not that strange a thing. I at one time, in San Francisco, I did puppets on stage and public tv, and the part I loved most is coming out from behind the stage afterwards, with the puppet, and interacting with the audience (mostly kids). Even though we'd sit in full view speaking and operating the puppets, folks quickly forgot we were there. I was awesome! As always thank you so very much for the videos.

I didn't notice David Prowse's eyes when I saw Star Wars in the theater in 1977, but I did notice the first time I saw it on VHS in the mid 80's. You know, when you can finally start, pause and stop movies whenever you wanted. It was intriguing then because I wasn't sure what Darth Vader looked like underneath and you knew seeing his eyes was a "goof" (I originally didn't think there was a man under the Darth Vader armor and mask at all as a kid in 1977). However, now that we know there's a man under there (Annakin Skywalker), it doesn't really matter anymore that you can see a man's eyes there briefly. Sort of makes sense now.

Seeing the eyes of Vader in his helmet is very obvious and I think I noticed it on my 3rd viewing of that movie many years ago. I did not see the first Star Wars in theatre as I was too young and only watched it once we got a VCR in our house. I knew the story, however, thanks to the Star Wars story book which contained elements of the movies delated scenes.

My best friend, Tim Burkholder (I remember him here because he died young of brain cancer), had taken me to see Star Wars (I think it was the 1997 re-release) as I cannot see well enough to drive. We noticed it simultaneously. He saw it as a blooper. I recognised it as a man in some sort of stylised space suit/soldier's armour. I had no real idea, though my intuitive surmise since had proved more prescient than I could have expected!

There were no adult Kenari. There was a massive mine accident, killing off the majority of the inhabitants (according to Imperial Intelligence reports and Andor's foster parent) But the children left behind ended up fending for themselves. I SAW NOT ONE ADULT among them. Sure, there were some more mature children, possibly some late teens there who were in charge, but none were 'adult' in the typical sense. Also note that young Andor pauses at the sight of the mining accident before following his fellow Kenari to where the ship crashed.

For me the greatest 4th wall break is being able to see through the head of Kabe, the small furry character grabbing her drink off the bar in the cantina in A New Hope. In the shot you can see through one of her eyes and then out through the other when her head is side on to the camera.

Everyone knows about the stormtrooper that bangs his head as he enters the doorway to confront the droids aboard the Death Star in ep4, but how many noticed Lando do the same in Return of the Jedi? As the Gamorrean Guards lead Chewie away to Jabba's dungeons, Lando enters the frame disguised as a skiff guard and pulls his mask down to reveal his face. As he comes in, he catches his helmet on the ceiling

That might not be David Prowse. According to Lucas, David Prowse was only one of a handful of people who donned the mask for Vadar - they used Prowse for all the scenes with Vadar walking and standing, to take advantag of his height. So it's likely it's another uncredited bit part actor or extra.

The one moment that I have never noticed after watching so many times from A News Hope is when Luke and C-3PO are walking once purchasing droids. You can see C-3PO jumps after the droid explodes. It’s something no one has ever talked about.

David Prowse's eyes could always be seen long before 4k and HD resolution releases happened. I had always noticed that they were clearly visible in old video versions and on TV back in the 80s. It is not a new "Did you notice this" moment for most people.

I have 2 favorite moments from Episode 4 that are impossible to unsee. When the Falcon first leaves Tatooine, you can see a green shrouded person (Thing?) slowly moving to the right around a corner and off camera behind Han and Chewie as they pilot away. Also when Luke returns from destroying the Deathstar, Leia runs under the X-wing and yells, "Luke!" He yells back, "Carrie!" using her real name.

Han not delivering the number of the compactor they were in made total sense. Why would he be in contact with C3PO or R2? He didn't want to have anything to do with the droids. he made that clear when they first boarded the Falcon. It only makes sense that Luke would be the one to talk to the droids to tell them the compactor address.

Yeah the casino scene in episode 8 was beautiful and an impressive creation between the practical effects team and the cgi clean up but overall it ended up feeling like a pointless part of the movie since nothing ends up coming from it essentially. So while I feel like it was kind of pointless I love seeing the casino as an imaginative visual smorgasbord that really showcases the size of the universe.

In Jedi during the final fight between Luke and Vader. Luke briefly loses his saber when Vader cuts the bridge under him. In the following shot when Vader reveals his knowledge of Leia you can clearly see Vader has Lukes saber in his left hand.

There's another scene where you can see into Vader's mask. It's right after the Millennium Falcon gunners battle when Tarkin asks Vader, "Are they away?" Vader turns and says, "They've just made the jump into hyperspace." At that moment you can see in through the left eye again.
