I'm so happy with 2023. I survived cancer. Practiced stoicism each morning. Finally started seeing a therapist to help sort the thoughts out that I've stuggled with since brain surgery. I turn 40 soon and I haven't been in this good of shape since high school. Make 2024 YOUR year!!! ❤

"Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one." - Marcus Aurelius
@jaredcaldwell42709 ай бұрын
Unfortunately in our day and age, it's so important for us to argue what a good man is and help others strive to be that way. A better way of putting it is it's better to focus on becoming a good man first before you go arguing about and helping others try to become one. We're a dying nation right now and we need to fix that right now.

Your video on Stoic habits for 2024 came at the perfect time for me. Caught up in excessive work hours, I've been neglecting my personal Stoic growth. But your insights, echoing Epictetus's wisdom about the power of habits, are a wake-up call. Today, inspired by your words, I stepped back to refocus on myself. Thank you for being a guiding light in recentering my journey.🌟🧘♂

Great. Develop and improve good habits and reduce bad habits. Bottom line is much of our day to day life is pretty menial stuff, but menial stuff that builds toward something much larger. You build a house by mixiing cement and lugging bricks. But it's not that you aimlessly do these things. It's just part of a slowo movement toward something larger. Of course, this doesn't mean we shouldn't do things we enjoy... Life isn't just about neing a robot but about getting satisfaction from larger things and also enjoying the small things. Now in my 50s, it's amazing jow enjoyable simply having a coffee or reading a book is. Not forced, but because it's a time for myself.

I'm amazed at how many people are complaining about the price. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You can't put a price on betterment, and if you truly don't want to change, don't. Nobody's forcing you, but it's extremely pathetic to think that Ryan is going to "sell his soul cheap" so you can sit back and have everything handed to you. Some of y'all really need this more than you think.

The video is about 10 stoic habits that one can practice in 2024. The speaker, Ryan Holiday, suggests that small, atomic habits are the key to improvement. He emphasizes the importance of starting small and building on those small successes. One of the habits Ryan recommends is to avoid procrastination. He suggests that instead of saying you will do something later, you should do it now. He also recommends developing a routine and sticking to it. This could include things like waking up at the same time each day, going for a walk, or journaling. Another important habit is to focus on what you can control and not worry about things that are out of your control. This means accepting change and not resisting it. Ryan also suggests that it is important to be prepared for whatever challenges life may throw your way. He recommends the Daily Stoic New Year New You challenge as a way to do this. Overall, the video is about taking small steps to improve yourself over time. It is about being proactive and not waiting for things to happen to you. It is also about accepting change and being prepared for whatever life throws your way. I hope this is helpful!

When people think of changes it's usually "big changes". There are no big changes in life: we change a little every single day. That's the only real change that can happen in life. You don't write a book in a day, you don't learn complex arguments in a morning. Time's not our enemy. Time is our greatest alleate.
