It is not true that Flair's entire TNA run was a total failure. To me, his first nine months in TNA when he was just manager and mentor of Fortune was pretty cool and it worked out to perfection. Especially him mentoring AJ Styles and Beer Money. Same goes for his brief yet memorable feud with Jay Lethal. However, the moment they had him ally with his both on screen real life eternal enemy Eric Bischoff it all went downhill fast. Nobody in their right minds could ever buy the crap about Flair and Biscoff being best friends. After that, it was total failure, but first nine months were actually pretty cool.

The only reason Shane Douglas never made it big in wrestling is... Shane Douglas. He never did anything except complain and blame other people for his failures, like Kliq in WWE or even better example Ric Flair in WCW. How significant his complaints were in world of wrestling the best proof is Flair's autobiography. Flair, who was always known for burrying people he hated both legitimately and on-screen, never even mentioned Douglas in a single sentence, going as far to, years later, claim that he had no idea who Douglas was back in the 90s and that he, therefore, never held any grudge against him.

To be fair, does Bret really count? Granted, I am a lifelong WCW fanatic, and his run really wasn't that bad when you watch it back (I just wish he had had a couple Big Gold Belt shots in his first year). When you talk to Bret and ask him about his favorite moments in his career, WCW comes up a lot (El Dandy, Goldberg Steel Plate, wrestling Sting, Benoit at the Owen Show and later Mayhem, winning the Big Gold Belt due to it's history and legacy). Nevermind the fact he was paid $3 Million, and Vince essentially forced him into signing the contract Personally, I don't count Bret on this list for the reasons above.

Out of hurt pride, "just" because he had to lose the title in his hometown against his rival (probably an enemy at the time), Bret had probably hoped that if he went to WCW, he would cause damage to Vince & the WWF. In the end, not only did this help the WWF more than one could imagine, but it also put a disgraceful end to Bret's illustrious career (through the match with Goldberg). If he had ignored his pride back then, he would have had a better future & who knows, maybe Owen would even be alive today. Nobody knows how it would have turned out, but the fact is that Bret partially ruined his life through this wrong decision, but at the same time it also ruined the life of e.g. B. Steve Austin has enriched.

Some of the big names in WCW didn't sign when they were brought out from WWE Sting, Steiner brothers,Kidman,Raven, Kevin Nash, notoriously Bret Hart he actually walked out of WWF instantly and went to WCW the very next day after the screw job. Bret Hart hated Vince McMahon and had a massive feud on screen and off screen with HBK whether he still feels that way after Montreal screwjob Idk. By the time WCW didn't sign a contract with WWF/WWE They were well past their prime sting for instance only made very brief appearances in 2014 13 years later. Alot of those WCW wrestlers got screwed over after the transition if anything if I was WCW wrester and the competition brought the company I'm out that's probably the biggest regret for those wrestlers.

You guys are being WAY to nice to AEW by not including CM Punk. He's like the modern day Bret Hart; super over Ex-WWE guy with reason to be unhappy with WWE who jumped over the next biggest promotion, noticed that every promoter and wrestler in that promotion were idiotic manchildren and realized that maybe WWE isn't so bad.

He's a chump and he was never done wrong by any company and left them all on bad terms. "Idiotic manchildren" perfectly describes his fans.

Vince was always some sort of feminist. The way he and Dunn treated many female wrestlers over the years, were disgusting. Women’s Wrestling was an entire joke because of him. Many women including Kim deserved better. NJPW and TNA were able to make the division of what it should have been before WWE finally took it seriously in 2015 thanks to Triple H.

If Ric Flair thinks TNA was a stain on his legacy, just wait until he gets AEW's stink all over him. It took that clown show less than a month to reduce Edge just another meaningless talent on the roster. What do you think they're gonna do to Ric Flair?
