In this video, I will show you some of the things that I continue to buy as a financial minimalist. Although I have sold most of the items that I own, I found there are some things that I need in order to function at a high level of productivity.
The purchases that I describe in this video fit one of three criteria:
1. It saves money
2. It increases efficiency in my life
3. It makes me happy

Well, with stretchy fabrics like knits you smooth them out and hang on a drying rack. With non-stretchy materials, like men's shirts for example, you hang them up on clothing hangers to dry. Everything comes out pretty smooth.

I purchased a few glass containers for foods to pack with me. Game change. I’m far more motivated to prep my food and take it with me than spend on lunch. Marshall’s/TJ Maxx - they both sell a variety of these for cheap. I also strongly suggest glass containers since you can microwave those and they never leave any kind of smell/residue like Tupperware.

honestly, the problem is that most people don't know how to dress themselves so they just end up dressing like everyone else around them to fit in, hence why everyone looks so same-samey now in terms of clothes. it works because everyone does it and i get that not everyone is interested in "style" or "fashion", but as far as i'm concerned, at least knowing how to dress yourself is important, and if you're putting on clothes at all, it's important to remember that they will reflect on you beyond the basic function of covering your body--if you dress normally, you'll be looked at normally, and if you dress differently, you'll be looked at differently.

So much agree with investing in clothes :) Especially it works with warm outwear! As a person who lives in a cold climate (8/12 months it's freezing cold in my country) investing in a high quality outwear saved me so much money. I used to buy a new jacket every season from Zara/H&M and it got so worn at the end of every winter. However, buying a decent and maybe a little bit more expensive outwear lead me to wearing the same jacket for 4 years already and it looks great, like I've just bought it ;) So I agree with you on this 100%!

I have been learning so much from you💙 Simply b/c anymore I go will have to be small for efficiency purposes until I am done w/ school. However, I cannot part w/ my makeup & hair products. I want a decent gentleman and I cannot get one looking like an absolute hag. But the bright side of it all is. I do not go out to clubs and bars Or coffee lounges like many girls my age do. I spend extra money on hair and makeup stuff. Sure, beauty comes from within but this is real life and the visual is everything💄 Keep making these videos. I will take note on this after I am off from work❤❤❤

“Treasure hunting”....I’ve always thought it’d be cool to go on an underwater expedition like Jacques Cousteau! ☺️And yes, I totally agree, time is valuable-so we should invest in evolving (our mind, body & soul) 🙌 By the way, When I reached the end & realized you hadn’t mentioned your age...👀 I nearly choked on my geriatric vitamins! 😂 j/k It seems like that “young” life is giving you everything a guy your age could wish for. More power to you Nate! Personally, I’ve been feeling the pull towards a different kind of excitement, but I truly respect where you’re at. I suppose we’re all on our own type of beautiful adventure. 😌🙌💛 Interesting video though Nate...or should I formally say...🎩🧐 “Great video, my good, kind sir.” 😇

Another killer post . My house is so cluttered , I’ve actually just started listing things online .. I have someone coming to buy my 45 singles collection tomorrow , 4K in the bank and free’d up space in the cupboard . Next is my display cabinet that’s full of LEGO and dvds (it’s gotta go) . Thrifting is a great way to save money and you can for sure find some quality stuff at your local goodwill or mom and pop thrift store. I’ve found a brand new under armor jacket with tag still attached for $20. Def set a cap. I don’t recommend shopping for 2nd hand shoes but button shirts to slacks goes along ways.

Your hair is good. I been cutting and coloring my own hair for years. Taking my lunch to work saves tons of money. Bought my car second hand 7 years ago, it's now a 12 year old car, runs like a champ. Well...a Prius champ. But the OLD cc debt is killing me. Lost my job six years ago had to sell my condo. Now working for over three years have bought another condo, but my credit was ruined because I couldn't pay them. Paid off all the old debt, but bad habits made me rack up the cc cards again! No one will give me a zero interest credit card. I'm paying mostly cash for everything now but I can't catch up. So I've been selling my previous electronic stuff and that has been helping. Trying to motivate myself back to my artwork so I can make a little more extra coin. Enjoy and take your videos to heart, you need to take your show on the road. San Diego Cali has the best weather! Oh by the way, Fashion is easy, yup, take a picture of what the mannequin is wearing, then shop for the same clothes at a cheaper discount clothing store. That's my free advice!

A person who doesn’t follow trends for the sake of showing off is smart. Style is being quietly confident, not being flashy and telling everyone, ‘Hey, look at my newest shirt from xxx brand’. Love your style. Also, being able to think on one’s own feet and not being pressured by society speaks much about one’s character & charm.

I used to not cut my hair for 3 years. But I live in a tropical climate so having a very long hair is too hot and uncomfortable. That's why I tried to cut my hair and messed it up big-time. It was too short that the only remedy that I have was to make it bald. Now, I'm used to being bald. Definitely, saves me in haircut and a lot of time in the bathroom.

Cassandra When our son was 4 he begged us to buzz his hair.. so my wife cut it almost bald.. then he hated it, so I let my wife shave mine to almost bald (people were freaked out at work, lol) to show him it was ok.. I ended up liking it, but he said he wanted my hair back. Lol
