10:42. Actually you can. You notice that back space icon at the end of the "Resting" you typed? You just click that, and you can back out of the word while looking at it.

The indicator light combined with the battery indicator in the control center is typically enough for me. Agreed the battery isn’t hot swappable is an issue but that just means I don’t have to buy another battery unless that battery dies or is damaged

Trenton, At least all those “downsides” of AVP have brought you outside again to enjoy a bright late winter day in the park! As for me - I returned my AVP on day 13 due to excessive weight and rashes on forehead, cheekbones, and sometimes nose bridge. Other than those “dealbreakers” the device was fun and extremely promising. Video tip: Perhaps you can produce an episode about the reactions of family, friends and strangers. Thanks again and keep up the “foviated rendering” 😊

One reason why they don't have user profiles - The Vision Pro I heard has like 27 different fits, something insane. To get another fit/light seal I'm pretty sure it costs like $200 apiece. And they won't sell them separately without a demo in the store. (per the Verge). The point is, they physically designed this from the get go to only work on one person, and then they designed the software to have no profiles. Even if you could get profiles it probably wouldn't fit well on the people around you. A lot of businesses were wanting to buy this and use for business purposes but they couldn't share the headset due to fit differences. The Meta Quest 3 has a big advantage here with profiles and also the face mask being easily adjustable between 3 positions.

Crazy thing is, it fit my girlfriend and her niece, it just doesn’t fit my kid due to the solo loop My family was able to view the Alicia Keys immersive experience and they were hooked instantly. Both my girlfriend and her niece are meta quest 2 users, they don’t want to buy a Vision Pro but would like to share it among us

Man loving the coverage on this thing. I would love them to bring more ecosystem features. Like I know a lot of people are talking about using the keyboard on the go. Imagine they give a prompt if you hold up your phone and you can use its keyboard and it overlays a digital keyboard and you use that to type on the vision pro. Would help with using it on the go and bolsters their whole ecosystem play

How about using a 3rd party mouse when you are controlling it via Universal Control (that is, from a mac), is that working properly??

You know there is a little white backspace icon that appears next to the text above the keyboard, that you can look at to delete text right?

This is by far the best criticism I've seen about AVP. Most of the other reviews are more like "hot-takes", done in the sake of engagement, by people who did not understand the product. That's probably expected, as a lot of people seem to have bought this just to take advantage of the 14-day return period while testing out the latest tech and gaining some subscribers and likes. Yours is a real user review. It's good to know that some of your points can be addressed with software updates, but some others show that Apple did not design this product to be mobile or standalone-enough-to-be-a-computer, which is a real bummer given the price tag and the potential. But the potential is there and we all know it will only get better. I just hope that the price tag is not doubled.

you can certainly put it into iCloud. If you wanted to put files to use on your Vision Pro you don’t have to just AirDrop.

Snazzy Labs spent like 1/5 of his review on the battery and why its weird. From about 12 minutes through 17/18 minutes. Basically USB-C PD3.0 or 3.1 wouldn’t be able to support it.

the draw back to the video is that the focus follows where my eyes are so its kinda hard to watch back on a replay. Normally regular video is all in focus

15:05. Anyone who thinks they don't need 1TB is sorely mistaken. It's like they have no idea how much space 8k60 takes up. Which 8k60 180 3D video is one of the most compelling things you can do with the headset. And who knows what applications will come up, and what the assets for those applications look like. This goes back to Apple not making the USB-C port on the battery into a full fledged USB4 port, a serious miss. Especially when you consider the fact we already know that the M2 chip has a USB4 controller on board. On the bright side, they did give everyone 16GB of ram, and didn't ask any questions.

13:12. You need the most recent generation of magic track pad, specifically. Magic mice need not apply. Though I will say, the trackpad is NO WHERE NEARLY as helpful as a real keyboard. You can easily get by controlling whatever with just your eyes and pinch, but as you know, typing sucks. Thus the fact they let you use any keyboard is a good thing. Why they aren't supporting more mouse like inputs, who knows. I'm sure this will change at some point.

Absolutely agree on the battery, it's mind boggling they didn't include a small % meter. Like how did that pass the testing phase? Now we have to wait for the new Apple Vision Pro Battery 2 to come out in 6 months and pay $200 for fucking meter and slightly larger capacity. 😠😠😠 Also, I hate the light seal. The magnet sucks, and the extreme depth is unnecessarily impacting the FOV. I cannot wait for third party vendors to fix so many of these things that Apple somehow missed.

No because Apple normally supports almost every Bluetooth mouse there is on their other devices

A lot of these dislikes probably stem from Apple's stubbornness. They're going to do things their way and it's a take it or leave it kind of deal. Some of these probably will change, but people shouldn't buy it expecting it to change.

13:45. Yeah, this was a REAL miss. Most of this stuff can be chocked up to physics and limitations of the current tech, or shortcomings with day-one software. But the missing port is seriously dumb when you have a USB-C port on the battery, ANYWAY! That port "should" have included data, so that you had a USB-C connection to the headset, it would have made the external battery less of a hardship if it were doing double duty.

the best practice would be to shut it down, but you can disconnect the battery and connect another Vision Pro battery and start it back up. If you dont want to daisy chain batteries then its probably worth it
