:-O I did NOT know that! (I'm sure they've *seen* people play chess even if they did not savvy the rules, so they acted like they knew what they were doing.) 9:22 Oh! I hadn't gotten this far when commenting. (I know: an internet sin.) I suppose I should've reckoned they'd have an expert laying out to do and NOT do, to avoid a faux pas!

Another piece of trivia was that Brian Singer did not let the actors read any X-men comics before making the 1st movie, but after the success Hugh Jackmen went out and read the Wolvarine mini-series and learned alot about how Logan was which made his performance in X2 even better.

The message of persecution, is excited flawlessly in this production. Whilst the Villains state this during a scene about not having to hide. The point is understood. Then Stryker earlier stated about not seeing a six year old child body on the news. Then truth of the movie is evident. A realisim you want exceptance but at your standards. Back the constitution. X2 was one of the best movies of it's kind during the 2000s back when I still cared about superhero movies. I think part of the reason why it was called X2 - X-Men United in the US is because about a decade prior there was another movie released here called F/X2 along with later in the 90s a TV Series based on the 2 F/X movies just called F/X and they didn't want any confusion.

Animated series X-Men:Evolution's version depicted how Paquin's was intended as but never got as Singer promised she'd get more action in X3 when he was still attached as director before leaving for Superman Returns. And Xaviors School was also used as Lex's home in Smallville tv series. Only backside would be noticed. Good review😊

The problem with Cyclops is that while Chris Claremont wrote the Scott/Jean/Logan love triangle as mainly being all Logan pining after Jean (and even had Logan fall in love with Mariko), a buncha Wolverine fanboys/girls wanted him with Jean. So, it keeps getting brought up over and over again. Jean and Scott were deeply in love, but many a fanboy writer and obviously some movie directors went with Wolverine getting the girl due to Logan's bigger popularity. So, James Marsden got screwed over.

It's so funny how some people recall what and where they first heard something. Or what they know it as. I'm pretty sure X-Men 2 was the original title. It somehow got shortened to X2 over time more and more. And the (United) was actually a tagline to begin with. Then it proceeded to make all DVD's and whatnot lol most overseas know it as X-Men 2 to my knowledge. Here in the U.S, we know it as United. But honestly, I just prefer X-Men 2. It's simple enough. X2 is still badass as well. Has that T2 vibe and whatnot

Great video! And yes to Van Helsing!!! I actually love that movie. I'd love to see a vid on that. While it's a bit over the top. To me it features a cool concept, effects and it still has my favorite portrayal of the character of Dracula. IT also has my favorite image of a werewolf. X-Men 2 or X2 is good enough for me as a title. My copy on Prime is just called X2. For me this movie was my favorite X-Men film. I really feel that in this movie they truly unleashed The Wolverine! The Last Stand was definitely a disapointment but it has one of my favorite casting choices ever! Kelsey Grammer as Beast. Ah when I heard he was cast I was sooo excited! Course then the movie comes out and was a let down. but Kelsey was fantastic in that! I do wish we could have had more Beast. I also wish they could have done more and done better with Cyclops. James Marsden was a really great Cyclops and it is disapointing how they treated the character overall. That one scene when he took Xavier to visit Magneto in the prison was a quick but excellent fight. I needed more of him kicking butt! lol.

Fantastic review brother! Yes, please do Van Helsing! The movie was absolutely long.. My best friend and I still talk about having to goto the restroom half way through, excruciating 😂😂

I've heard that 'God Loves, Man Kills' is a great comicbook. I haven't read it but I recently bought 'Days Of Futute Past' and will be reading that over the weekend. Once I've read that I will read Joker, by Brian Azarello, which I heard to be a good story, which some have described as "terrifying.'

`God Loves, Man Kills´ is truly a classic and a great read. I recommend the original book, not the "Extended Cut".

8:30 Incidentally, about pageantry and aside from Kelly Hu: Halle Berry was a Miss Ohio USA title-holder, finished first runner-up in Miss USA 1986 and later represented USA in Miss World that same year alongside your very own Stephanie Andrews. 🙂

On your message board, I'd go with MintyComedic on one line, with a different colored letter for the M and C. After that, I'd try to center the word Arts with spaces, or whatever. That would make the sign look better, and assuage my OCD. Just a suggestion. Love your content!

Considering you made a video covering both the release and impact of Ghostbusters and Gremlins in honor of their 30th anniversary, are you going to do a Lost Version episode for either of them covering the early drafts?

I think the reason Sabertooth was removed was to put at least some thematic space between The Empire Strikes Back and X2. Having Sabertooth be with striker would have led to him revealing he’s Logan’s brother and “I am your father” “we’re brothers” and metaphorically Striker already fills that “father” void for Wolverine, and having lady deathstrike there enforces the “more machine than man” motif used for Darth Vader. I think I like that better. Splitting the same idea into two characters rather than doing 2 separate ideas birthed from the same motif

I usually call it X2 for simplicity sake. There was a tie-in video game called X2 Wolverine's Revenge that I played a lot. Perhaps that has somethingto do with it. I should dust off my Gamecube and play it again.

James Marsden didn't get a lot of screen time, but how cool is it to be in X-men and Superman. A cool video idea might be on actors that played in both the DC and Marvel franchises.

Well that's one way of looking at it. A positive twist. I'm so tired of seeing Cyclops used as a mutant punching bag ! Thankfully, Cyclops was finally portrayed a more causative fighter in the movie , "'X MEN DARK PHOENIX"'. Not a great X-Men flick, but it was ok. Cyclops has a stronger appearance in the "'CYCL0PS eXtended Cut"' of the 1st X-Men movie.
