Umm... I think I know why its called Attack on Titan. Ymir's titans have names to them, the Beast titan, Colossal titan, and the hardened titan are just three. It is learned in the later on Manga series that Eren is one of Ymir's titans, called the Shingeki no Kyojin, or The Attack titan. I think the "on" is to show the persistence of the Attack Titan

In German "Jäger" is the way to spell it in writing. I suspect they changed it so it could: 1. Be translated easily to Japanese (don't quote me on that I only speak German and English) 2. Because its a last name, the meaning and spelling has changed over the decades (much like my last name) 3. Some people find it easier to say Jaeger because they can pronounce the "ae" and have no idea how to say "ä" (thus making the last name more memorable to viewers if it's easy to say) Yaeger is used by funimation in their sub. While it's incorrect in German, I suspect this choice was made because uneducated people would not know "j" is pronounced "y". This would mean people would go around saying the main characters name wrong. This causes me to say that Jaeger is the correct way to spell his last name Or I could be completely wrong and Hajime Isayama could just say "lol nope it's actually Jägerbomb scrubs. Du bist sehr doof"

Another tricky little detail that I first recognized after I watched the Anime twice: Annie, who plays a significant role later on of season 1, can be first seen after the giant Titan's first attack on the walls when there's food given to the survivors. She's literally in the middle foreground of the scene but I didn't remember that moment until I watched it a second time. Just a minor little detail that's easily overlooked but I thought that was quite amusing and maybe someone here thinks so too ^^
