I too was forced out of my home at a young age. My step mother has always been very cruel to me and my sister. Hell she still is a very toxic person that im trying to cut out completely. She used to make up stories to get me in trouble with my dad which led to abuse, she tried o drug me by hiding pills in my food that i wasnt prescribed, she used to call me terrible names like Satans child and cow, to this day she doesnt respect my transition and tells people im a bad parent for it. at 15 years old, still in high school with a part time job. my step mother kicked me and my little sister out because we were breaking her "perfect family". my mom took my sister in but couldn't take us both because of state assistance and court order from when we were young. We were taken away from her when i was 8 because of drug abuse. I grew up in a really bad situation from the start of my life, drug abuse from parents, abandonment, abuse of all the kinds, mental, emotional, physical, and sexual #metoo. But now as a ripe young transboy of 23, i have my own house, my own car, a husband, a daughter, and the strength to over come my past and listen to other peoples stories.

I’m NOT sorry for you! Why? Because you damn well persevered DESPITE all of the toxic people/places/things in your past. Being only 23, it sounds like you were forced to grow up much sooner than others (as was I) but I took those things and used them for fuel. And I’m willing to bet that you appreciate the heck out of your beautiful family. 😊

When I was young I thought I would get married and have kids, just because that is what people seem to do. I really wasn't that interested in it and was trying to put it off as long as possible. As I got a little older I did realize that is not the life I wanted and I'm 57 and have never regretted it. I do get to be an aunt, and that's the best.

Now I listen how much you overcame in your life and I am humbled by your persistance, attitude and brightness of your soul. I want to kick your treacher's rear for destroying your art (been there myself, but in my case the whole class joined the teacher as well). I felt ok for sitting in silence while creating (I make exceptions for your voice and for shenanigans with Sika, you inspire me and make me laugh so hard!). You are a wonderful teacher as well as you are a crafter. Thank you for your presence on youtube!

Oh man so sorry to hear about that teacher. My own highschool art teacher was very pessimistic and judgemental about everyone's art at our school, saying it had no meaning, and could be better etc. Like I get constructive criticism but most of what this teacher did and said weren't helpful. I got emotional during the art story. I've been in a sort of similar situation. I had a really nice art teacher at my old school and during thd last term she left and no one knew why. We then had a substitute for the rest of the year. She started an African topic with us and we had to make a topic page. I cut out a peice of brow paper in a mask shape and drew patterns on it, like my own tribe mask, and stuck it on the page. The teacher took one look at it and said "What is that? That's rubbish." which struck me to hear a teacher be so discouraging. It's all fine now, I moved school and it turns out the nice art teacher had moved there so she knew me and I still say hi to her even though I dont do art or DT anymore.

Do you still do karate? I did Tae Kwon Do during ten years. I stopped at the end of highschool but I'd love to start again. I did some aikido too but it didn't last long. What an horrible at teacher! I know I would've cried on the spot (I was quite the crybaby when I was a child). Does Pat try to have conversations with you? My boyfriend sometimes sleep-talk and we can exchange a few sentences before he falls back to sleep. Doesn't always makes sense, but it's really funny xD. I've read classics in the context of my classes, but I haven't mustered the motivation to read some on my own free time. Some look really good like Sherlock Holmes, but others are like "ugh" like Jane Austen. I'm a lefty. We're actually a majority of lefty in my family: me, my mom and my sister. My dad is the sole right-handed man xD. My mom was also discouraged from using her left hand when she was a child because in Catholicism it was known to be the hand of the devil. It's nice to know you had your brother to support each other. Being out in the big world at 17 seems scary, especially if it happens suddenly. Hugs for the #metoo. I'm lucky, I haven't been prey to much harassment or catcalling in my life (although I'd kick the but of anyone doing so) and sometimes I feel bad for not relating to all those people (or being there to defend them). For a draw my life, you could draw environnements instead of making them out of clay but still have a clay mini-Jackie that you could move around. Depends if drawing would be less time and energy consuming. Okay so here's a few random facts about me: - My favorite video game series is Ace Attorney. You like puns? Play that game! It's full of it! I also enjoy the genre (so point and click like), the gameplay, the music, the design of the characters, the story, all of it really! It's one of the few series I've played more than once. - I'm very much a Jack of all trades. I can be good at a lot of things, but I'm rarely excellent at anything. It has caused me some heartaches when trying to decide what to study or what career to choose and still does when I'm trying my hand at something since I can often master basics but after that I don't progress as quickly as others. - I'm a sucker for masks. They can be so pretty. My username actually means "mask" in Korean. - I'm a LARPer. LARP stands for "live action role playing", also called "Grandeur Nature" in French. - I'm a translator =) (English to French). Hope you learned some interesting bits about me! Also, I can't seem to be concise whenever I'm commenting. I hope this doesn't bore you too much u-u.

Hmmm... random facts about me... I’m naturally ambidextrous too, but I was born with a toe thumb (if you don’t know what that is, look it up) on my left hand so while I am technically equally able with my two hands, it’s a lot easier to write and stuff with my right hand because my thumb doesn’t reach far enough to hold a pencil properly with my left. Also, I’m pretty much the opposite of you with art. By late primary school, art seemed like a chore to me. It was always so closely defined by what the teacher told us even if that wasn’t the best way I could see to do things for an artwork. By that time, I hated art. In year seven, I finally got the courage to try drawing something and I won a competition with that so I decided that art might be a good idea after all. Fast forward and now I’m going into grade eleven and not only do I adore arts and crafts, but most different forms (sculpting, painting etc) seem to come to me really naturally, although there’s always room to improve of course! It’s weird how often people see the things I make and just assume that all my thoughts towards and memories of art are positive because I do it a lot and I’m good at it. I feel like that got pretty long for two points, sorry about that. 😁

Sorry, I'm getting to this so late. Been doing mad shifts over Christmas, including Christmas day. But I just couldn't help but leave a comment. Your incredibly brave to mention the last two things even though you didn't go into detail and you do seem to be in a really great place now which I hope is the case. I also had an art teacher who picked on me, she also had me for PE which I was terrible at so that was a nightmare. I think its due to that that I didn't really get into arts and craft until after high school. That hashtag also applies to me so I understand completely why you didn't want to dwell too deeply on it. I just want to thank you though as there was a while when I was going through bad anxiety and depression and your videos offered a wonderful distraction for me during those times. It was also from watching your tutorials that I'm into some of the crafts that I'm into now. Sorry, this is so long just wanted to say thank you for your videos and thank you for sharing today. That's all really sad stuff though I've mentioned so I'll end by giving you a fun fact about me. I love dogs, have a pet Jack Russell calle Louie and I did Judo when I was young

That teacher needed to be FIRED. You are an amazing artist. Art isnt about what you can do its about expressing yourself and doing things that you love. That teacher pardon my french... is a piece of shit. This is why children dont have motivation to do anything because of people like that. We love you Jackie, dont ever stop being you ♥

Hi Jackie. I’m just seeing this vlogbut there are a couple of things I want to hit on. First, I am allot older than you ( I’m 67 now in 2021) but some of our stories are the same. I agree about the classics, I love to read or use to, I listen to audio books now. For 15 years it took me 1 1/2 hours to get to work , one way so I got use to listening to books. Anyway back on the subject I read young adult sci-fi. Classics are boring and I can’t get thru them. 2nd, the thing about the music, I bet you like music but not when you’re concentrating. Lots of people like that. I always had music on especially when doing homework as a kid unless it was something I was struggling with, like math. I was out of my house at 18 but I did it a little differently, I got married. Not the best decision BUT I stuck with it and we will 49 years this Aug, 2021. And last I guess I should belong to the me too movement BUT I don’t let it define me anymore. It took me 50 years to be able to say that AND I forgave the person who also took away my trust of people. That has been a little harder to get over but one day at a time. Oh by the way I don’t think I’m an artist or even a crafter but everyone else does. I don’t see it AND I always wanted to be in the theater but My life went a different way. You know what! No regrets! Sorry this is so long but thanks fir listening. I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I still remember when i comeback from 'sick leave' in primary school and we were drawing a tree, i draw two simple strokes, without any perspective etc and my teacher shouted at me that that is not a way to draw a tree. I don't know why, but this make me to stop drawing for nearly 7 years, even though i loved it. Anime and manga made me interested in drawing again and now i love doing it and people like my art. I even thought about going to School of art, but i choose Asia (my other love ;P) People should always take responsibility for their words or emotions because one comment can change other person life.

Lol umm, no. In Australia you can find random snakes in your house. In New Zealand you'll see random Daddy Long Leg spiders LOL! I almost pooped my pants when I saw my first Huntsman spider here in Australia lol! I'm a newish (earlier this year) sub, thank you for sharing yourself with us 💜. Fun facts about me - I'm a kiwi living in wallaby territory 😄. My fave colour is green. I never knew I had an artistic side until my children brought it out of me. I found the NerdEcrafter channel first because I wanted to see reviews on RC cars from the Wish app & thank goodness KZbin recommended your Wish video. I've been hooked ever since. As a parent I value your reviews as I can't afford to buy wasteful things for my kids 😏 K, this comment is too long lol. Thanks again Jackie. My daughter and I love watching your videos. Take care 💜

What horrible teachers you have had! I'm shocked by that. I'm totally jealous of your ambidextrousness, that's awesome. The whole left-handed people are from the devil is one of those historical fears (like red hair) that have really persisted based on the notion that it's "different". I'm truly sorry for the struggles you've had in your past Jackie. It's really hard when home isn't the safe place it should be, I know it left me feeling very isolated. I think it's brave of you to even mention these things. Just because the metoo hashtag applies to your life doesn't mean you should feel pressured to go into detail. There's a reason why the law protects victims/survivors identity, you have the right to keep these things privet no matter who you are or what you do for a job. I hope you've got some healing from just saying that you too have had an experience. It applies to me as well and I also don't want to go into detail. Oddly enough I don't have the same reservation about going onto detail about my emotionally abusive mother.

Jackie, I know there is a very slim chance you will see this, and this video is a little old so I might be too late but I want you to know that you are my idol (I know that sounds weird but hear me out), you have really brought me and many people through so much, with your positivity and love. I’m not that old, I’m under 18, and I also belong to #metoo. It’s hard to live like that especially when it is someone you trust or love. For the last 3 or 4 years I have struggled with suicidal thoughts and even attempting suicide, drug, and alcohol abuse after many months of abuse from a family member, and being in and out of hospitals. I have kicked out of the house for a while so you are not alone. Yet all of this I have found light in your videos, just a moment where my mind doesn’t race and I can think or even laugh. You are so strong, and so beautiful in every way, you have changed peoples lives for the better and I just want you to know that. Thank you Jackie, really, thank you. - some random girl on the internet ❤️

I've been watching your main channel for a while and just started bingeing on this one. I usually lean more towards paper crafts, coloring and the like - in part because I am super duper clumsy. I'd love to be able to sculpt all the things you do, but just watching it is pretty cool. The thing no one knows about me....(until now I suppose) I don't like the Lord of the Rings books. I have tried many times to read them over the years and just can't get into them.

I have a disorder known as “bone age” that makes me about 6 inches shorter than the average person my age. What basically happened was that I stopped growing/grew at a slower rate when I was little (we aren’t sure which), then I started growing at a normal rate but by this point I was really short. I’ll keep growing after all my peers stop growing.

When I was in 3rd grade. We had to draw the stations of the cross. ( I went to a private catholic school) I drew mine and my 3rd grade teacher told me they weren't good enough and that I had to start over. I went home and told my mom. She drew them for me and I colored them in. Teachers should be there to encourage. Not tear down!

I hated classics for the same reason. But if I watch a movie of a classic (with an accurate script and actors enunciating, acting out, and reacting to the words properly, then the next time I read it I can 'fill in the blanks' or skip some of the archaic stuff and the more I watch and read, the easier it gets because I can visualize the actors saying the words and the feelings they are supposed to evoke. And if the actors talk deliberately and as if the person they are acting with has NOT heard the words a thousand times before, pausing where appropriate - not just because they need to take a big inhale before spewing out another paragraph of speech - the meanings of things becomes clearer and easier to immerse yourself into.

I had a similar experience with a English teacher. She pulled me out of class and accused me of plagiarism on a poem. I'd never herd of the one she said I copied. I have also always been a slow reader and can't spell to save my life. But then in High school I was on the literary arts committee and even got published in a national poem contest. Then, through college, I excelled at all my English classes and was invited to help tutor some other students. So yeah, some teachers are full of shit. ❤️

Hi! So, I know this video is from quite awhile ago, but I wanted to comment and say you're such an amazing person to watch, and it's very courageous of you to share some of the more serious things about yourself! A couple of things about me is that I'm autistic (my mom always kinda knew, but it took forever to get me diagnosed because 1) teachers thought I was just quiet so she couldn't get reccomendations and such, and 2) I'm an afab individual so my autism presents in a less extreme manner (autism in afab vs amab people is actually rather different in the way it presents and most standards of diagnosis are based off of symptoms of amab people because they are typically more visible) which made it really hard to get a diagnosis. If we hadn't gone to the doctor we did it's very likely I would've been misdiagnosed with add or adhd along with ocd and depression. That got long,,, but another tidbit is I suffer from PTSD and I struggle to feel valid and true in that diagnosis because the experience I had that my brain reacted to as trauma is so much less,,,, severe (I'm not sure what word to use, so sorry bout that!) than what many others have experienced/than what many people actually consider to be "trauma"
