Growing up in Ireland in the 70's and 80's, I can remember watching Noel every Saturday morning. 'Swap shop' and the like, if my memory serves me well. He always came across as a likable guy, great with kids. . Knowing what we know now about the culture at the time, the horrors of Jimmy Saville and others, a hit piece on Noel seems a bit out of place. So, he's a bit 'quirky', so what. I will always have a fondness for the man. A true professional. As for his belief in energy fields, even mainstream medicine accepts that a negative attitude can be detrimental to health. It doesn't take much of a leap to see this as the 'negative energy' Noel has talked about. I'm not taking anything away from people who are battling ill health. It can be very hard to remain positive in these situations. Noel's a good man in my books from what I've seen.
@jonathanpardoe87222 жыл бұрын
And what exactly do we know about Sir Jimmy Savile ? I am not talking about what we have read about or heard in the media which as you know can be a little missleading at times . and I am not talking about any biased investigations by embarressed institutions eager to sweep wrong doing under the carpet . So I ask you again, what exactly do we know for sure about Sir Jimmy Savile except the fact that he was and remains the greatest donater of Charity funds to needy causes and that he is in the eyes of the uk law , considered innocent until any charges are proven in a court of law .
@davemarten2802 жыл бұрын
@Jon Tibbatts Yes, I suppose we never really know. It's hard to trust nowadays, but I think Saville was protected by the establishment and his Royal links while he was alive. During the whole Saville scandal, lot's of living 70's Celebraties were exposed and were prosecuted and saw jail time, Rolf Harris comes to mind. Many DJ's in Edmond's circle faced justice for past crimes. I believe that if anything was to come out, it would have happened then, amid the frenzy. Instead, Noel emerged squeeky clean . I don't believe Edmonds has the power to silence people and I don't think the media would shy away from taking him down if they could. That's good enough for me but I will always stand corrected. Fair point though.

@@slappamathagh Yes but if Noel had any sympathy for the poor woman then you'd think he'd be pissed off with the editor and probably would have put up an argument with them about how the editing was done. If you were the presenter of a TV show (aka, the main person) and someone took ill on set, then you realised that it was actually shown as part of the programme, would you not feel that it was a bit strange for the editors to do that? Stop pretending you don't know all this already and trying to make my original comment look stupid, just because you think that because it's the editor's fault that everyone else's feelings & compassion didn't count at that time. Do you really think Noel Edmonds didn't know about all these things? And therefore probably should be saying something about it? So are you starting to see what I'm talking about? The reason why I want Mr blobby back is because even though he doesn't talk and a sense he is much more intelligent than Noel Edmonds talking absolute twaddle

It obviously wasn't the intention, but I've come away liking Noel a lot more than I ever thought I would. Other than his thoughts on immigration, I can't say that I disagree with much of what he's said, especially about the BBC which in the fullness of time he's seemingly been proved right about.

why not the immigration thing?.... its a blatant fact the bus has been full for decades and the actual British people are left with fuck all

I've always seen Noel as slightly annoying, but mostly harmless. His heart is in the right place.

He was (is) a first rate broadcaster and shrewd businessman. His 'On-Air' persona was far from the person you met in real life. He could be very aloof! I'm glad that others have found otherwise.

Noel was my Saturday mornings, then when i got older my Saturday evenings. I can't say I liked everything he did. The only thing funny about Mr Blobby is when its head fell off on Noels House party.

Why is this voice over guy saying its "terrible" to say the UK is full? Illegal immigration is a massive problem and harms legal immigration numbers. Most people in the Uk completely agree with Noel Edmonds on a lot of what hes saying... only the wealthy white and privelaged left wing media think differently. £48M of tax payers cash on Welsh alone is definately a terrible idea... man this videos tone is WAY off.

Noel Edmonds sounds based! And judging by the comments, your little hit piece has made others think he's based also.

It's a shame what he did to Clive Anderson. Shooting the wedding party with an RPG was out of order as well.

Not exactly things that piss people off, he just is one of those guys who has become weirder as he ages. All those former Radio DJs who were popular years ago with their massive egos. He used to do his funny phone calls on the radio - the telephone engineer one is particularly annoying. Still, there was the time he gave the most memorable public service videos against the "made-up drug" Cake on Brass Eye a drug that stimulates the part of the brain called Shatner's Bassoon. And that's the bit of the brain that deals with time perception.
