Can I use one layer of minky for a bean bag cover? Or do I have to back it? I’m using a flannel strip border that will be seamed with the backing piece. Thanks!

Concerned with basting spray for baby blankets any thoughts? Also do you need to spray this in an open area? I’m a beginner Love the kits and video thanks! I’ve used batting to make a runner with cotton fabric and the top cotton fabric slides a lot. I had fused the backing with the batting as instructed but struggled with the top fabric even though I pinned it down. Any advice?

I know this was a few years ago but is there any reason why I wouldn't use interfacing on the back of the fabric to stabilize it a little bit more?

Using interfacing is certainly an option! It will had weight and some thickness to the fabric, in addition to the stability. These all can be pros and cons, depending on the project. You can find a tutorial on making a Patchwork Quilt with stabilized Cuddle here on our page. I will also be using an interfacing for an upcoming Patchwork Pillow class, available in June. --teresa

Can one fuse interfacing strips so the Minky doesn’t stretch?

You can, but it requires a lot more time and material than pinning carefully. It does work though! -teresa

ShannonFabrics I was thinking of using that peel and stick stabilizer used for embroidery...so no ironing just cutting 1 inch wide strips. Brand name is Sulky (I think). So less pinning but I'd use a ruler to keep everything lined up. Thanks for video and reply.

Love your videos OK bc I have always hated messing with cuddle !! OK The tips and showing how to sew ... OK I’m not trying to say anything ugly but can you do a video where your almost done an you messed up OK an 1. How to remove the decorative stitches without putting a hole in it OK like I did OK and I had to cut the border off OK so I can start over OK ... that is where I’m at /OK the problem is I need at least a 4” binding an I do not have enough cuddle / what to do ... OK ... I live in a rural area an would have to drive from 45 to 60 minutes to a town to buy fabric .. yes ... ok so please Help with problems and making do with what you have OK

OK I understand that it’s frustrating sometimes. I like to use my snap-off blade and carefully run the blade between the fabrics to cut the thread then use a lint roller to pick up the bits info thread. Reach out via DM if you’d like help getting more fabric.
