Speaking of haunted houses when I was about 8 my parents took me to a haunted house put on by college students for a fundraiser and there was another little girl there I befriended in the haunted house and she tagged along with us during the whole thing then she was pulled into an operation room at the end and they "disemboweled" her in front of me...SHE WAS AN ACTOR AND SHE WAS PLAYING MY ASS THE WHOLE TIME. She was about 12 or 13. My parents were kinda upset they took me and I was freaked out for a bit but adult me appreciates it now.

Most of the people who does Halloween movies list seems to forget and never include the original Night of the Demons, which make it the #1 underrated Halloween movie! It takes place on Halloween night, it’s a fun mix of horror with some comedy, the gore is amazing and it’s just a super fun 80’s movie that is both underrated as a movie and as a Halloween movie. I recommend it and I watch it every year as part of my demons night ( with Demons by Lamberto Bava Of course )

The two worst kinds of remakes are doing the exact same thing as the original or being so far removed from the original that it's just piggybacking off the popularity of the title. I love this take on Rob Zombie’s Halloween! So many Halloween fans I know, even some who are fans of other Rob Zombie movies don’t like it. I love it. I think it’s like it’s own Halloween franchise. I love John Carpenter’s too, but for different reasons. I don’t really think you can compare them to an extent, which a lot of people do. It’s like a “Rob or John” type of thing when they’re both great in their own ways.

I always remember the Halloween scene from ET from my childhood so I always watch it in October.
