It's a whole 2 hours of extra content that was only available in a Japanese exclusive story and while short, let's you play as a huge fan favorite in an otherwise cult classic game. And what's with KH? That whole sequence was amazing. Not everything has to be 10+ hours of extra game

Ending E was from the short story featured in Grimoire Nier, it wasn't in the Japanese version of the original game. The added content were both (The Little Mermaid segment) just short stories that were added in to enrich the experience of the game.

Most kingdom hearts fans understand that the point of getting the secret ending is to get clues for how the story will continue in future installments. I remember unlocking that tease for Birth by sleep. I thought it was an excellent payoff for the effort to earn it.

To be fair, since Olivia and the Origami King both die at the end of PM: TOK, the 100% ending cutscene is supposed to give the player a bit of hope that they might be revived in some way (and that the Origami King could possibly redeem himself). Yes, the game could have a bigger reward for all the tasks you need to do, but it works from a story perspective (though it could have also simply been a post-credits scene instead of requiring that you 100% the game to get it).

To be honest with you I was thinking of finished this game and without collecting 243 riddler trophies and waste my time but when I notice because it's not worth it to say goodbye to Catwoman even tho it's a sweet moment but it's not worth it to drain your whole Christmas break or your day off but I didn't because last year I noticed that Kevin Conroy have passed away this makes me finish the game at 140% (which is the worst mistake In my entire life I wish I shouldn't)

Aquaria. OH MY GOD, Aquaria. It's one thing to end with sequel hook, quite another to undo everything the main character accomplished over the course of the game, purely for the sake of a sequel hook. To rub salt in the wound, the sequel never even got out of pre-production, thanks to the dev team splitting up and moving on the different projects. Psychonauts. Spend all that time hunting down every last collectible, including some frankly obnoxious figments in the napoleonic and bullfight levels, and your reward is a short comedy scene featuring some tertiary characters. Undertale. The Genocide ending is okay on its own merits (assuming you put in the waiting needed to see the full thing) but taints future playthroughs forever, locking out the good ending in favor of an ominously twisted one. And not even starting a new save file or re-installing the game gets around this. Not only that, but the in-development sequel Deltarune apparently checks for the genocide flag on first boot; currently it doesn't seem to actually change anything, but who knows what we'll find when the full game drops?

For Undertale, if you go Genocide route first, you have to play the game again to the end to get rid of the flag. You can do another genocide route (if you're a masochist) or do a neutral/"passive" route (the passive route won't count, since you have the genocide flag on you.) Once you FULLY finish that second run and "reset" again, you'll be free of the genocide flag (a true reset) and will be free to play for the true passive route (another 2 playthroughs; don't genocide on either.)

there is another one i think, the secret ending in Final Fantasy XIII-2 where you need to get other paradox endings by replaying previous levels, however the said secret ending you get is just Caius mocking you for trying so hard to get the ending only for him to tell you that there is no such thing.

Right. You can save before the final boss, do ending C (if you want to see it), then load again and go for ending D. It's not replaying the game 4 times, just the last third about 3 times. Which is less time than 2 full playthroughs. Then only about a quarter into the new game (post save deletion) do you head into Ending E. Jess clearly hasn't played for ending E. I admit that by the 3rd go of he last third of the game, it was a bit repetitive, but not nearly as bad as described in this video.

@Scott Koehler yea pretty much agree. It took me 40 hours to 100 percent the game that was a reasonable time. N the multiple play through was worth it with the new story content. The only issue I had was getting to the ending e took couple of hours of play time was pointless. But it was worth it in the end. Nier replicant was a beautiful remake that in my opinion is better than nier automata.

I have to disagree about the Endings for Nier Replicant. I was hyped the more I finished it and it changed. The game is so fucking good and I'm tempted to go back and play again sometime before starting another playthrough of Nier Automata. I was confused as all hell over Ending E but it felt so good to finish such an amazing game

I got 100% on that after 150 hours, a ridiculous task in it's own right. I wasn't gonna go for 106% anyway despite wanting to but to see the ending was disappointing, I looked it up on youtube in the end realising there was on way would I achieve it anyway

just to clarify its the KH 2 secret ending not the KH 2 final mix one. The difference is that its just a pre rendered cut scene with who knows what at the time. KH 2 final mix is the actual lore dump one that has people hyped.

I'm just scared to wear glasses with VR. Because so many people talk about the risk of scratches. This is premium and I want to buy it. But idk if I could use glasses comfortably or psychologically. I also would not want others using it either. What can you say to maybe help me. I would hope lenses are impossible for it to touch or get near glasses. Not sure which Way of the Samurai it was, but the ending that I discovered was worse than any other because I hadn't realized it would result in my character's death and end of all New Game Plus improvements I'd done. I had been tied down to a railroad and refused help. Yeah, it lead to the train running me over.

Valkyrie Profile 2 had a secret ending which sucked and was absurdly hard to get. Basically you had to beat the final boss without using the character give to you for that fight. Problem was that the boss has a 90% damage resistance against all party members except the new one. Beat him and you get a secret cutscene showing the final boss reincarnated and is now a child.

The everyone dies ending from Mass Effect 2 doesn't fit that well into this list, because honestly it's pretty much everything I would expect from that scenario. Mass Effect 3 Synthesis probably fits better (to be fair all endings fit), because putting all that effort into getting a high score so that you would get the best ending only to get a recolored cutscene was sorely disappointing. If one played it before they released the extended ending it was even worse.

The one that always stands out in my head was the FF9 alternative ending for having the hammer. There are a few alterations to the ending scene and it is easy to miss them.

I find it a (somewhat funny) dick move by the devs is that you can cheat yourself out of the ending by Synthing the hammer into a Save The Queen... a weapon that can only be used by a temporary party member not available for the final dungeon. And if you cheat Beatrix into the party... it's the only weapon she has anyway. At least speedrunning to Memoria gets you Excalibur II, but then once you have the ultimate sword, you've skipped all the content you could've used it on. Let's hope if there's an FF9 remake they'll fix that. God knows the 100 ways they've remade FF4 across various consoles, there's different ways to go about it.

In Super Metroid for the SNES I got the "secret" ending without trying and ended up trying to complete it faster so I could get the secret ending, the requirement to get the secret ending in the first place (complete the game in under 3 hours).

I get Nier ending E sounds like an absolutely ridiculous process to people outside tha Fandom but I promise you that no one outside tha type of people who'd be willing to do all of it would need to worry about it, you'd have probably dropped out of tha Nier ending collecting before getting B or C even. It's a completely consistent process with what Nier fans have come to expect and it adds a new layer to an already great game and series.

If they ever remade or remastered the original Jak and Daxter trilogy they could have an alternate take of the opening cutscene to Jak 2 play after we open the 100 Power Cell door... ... ... ... ...SPOILER WARNING...For a 20+ year old game...just in case...you never know people are really testy with Spoilers ever for older content i saw one woman complain on a geek group that people were talking about the big twist in Empire Strikes back saying its not fair for those that haven't seen it. Like i didn't see that film until the year Phantom Menace came out and even i knew about THAT Empire scene...so Spoiler warning just in case... ... ... ... ... ....Like maybe have a playable section where you bring the Rift Rider back to Sandover Village. Help Keira fix it up and then have an alternate take of the opening of Jak 2 play that ends with Errol knocking Jak out. That could work.

The Talos Principle, all stars ending. it's even trickier than it sounds, the stars will open 3 extra HUBS with multiple very VERY hard puzzles, AND parts of a secret code to unlock the final code. oh, AND that code is different every playthrough! AND the ending is rather lousy...

If you're running out of ideas for lists, just admit it. It happens, this channel has been running for a few years and releases a lot of videos. And even if the topic is the exact same, the video did have only one overlapping entry. But maybe try waiting more than a month before redoing a topic, or don't try hiding behind the fact it's a different host and acknowledge the channel has done this topic recently?
