Solid video. I am currently renting rooms to traveling nurses. I have been anti-AirBnB for various reasons, but I like the idea of being a landing spot for someone new in town who is trying to get a feel for the area before they settle in. Thanks for exposing me to this idea and expanding my options for room renting. Keeping things clean is very important and I am (hopefully) getting better at every day. Keeping things sanitary and tidy is important for making the environment comfortable in a shared environment.

what happens if they bring another guest in from a night out. How does that work?

You can set the maximum guest rules for your house and if you have proof they brought in another guest, you can charge them through Airbnb for violating a house rule. Typically a maximum of 2 people should be allowed though for a private room.

About house rules and boundries. I have written on my listing among other rules that I am vegan, please do not bring any meat.... (eggs and cheese are ok) then twice I had guests bringing food from restaurant meat x) and even telling me would you like to try ? hahah and I said oh I am vegan. but thank you. I did not make fuss about it and was lenient. as I did not want them feel uncomfortable or guilty. another advise I would give is agreeing with your family or you partner if you have any. what are their rules and what are they comfortable with. my partner certainly does not like hosting as much as I do. So I do not accept stays more than 3 nights ....

To dictate your guests eating even when they go out and have leftovers is extremely selfish. Just because you are vegan don’t mean your guests will be. Maybe you should buy a mini fridge for your extra room.
