I don’t know if you’ll see this comment Doc but man these videos you have in anger are helping me out so much. I feel I have ruined the good relationship I had with the girl who holds my heart. This video made me cry because I’ve realized watching this and your others in anger that ITS MY FAULT and I need to take responsibility and not ever expect anybody to cater to my wants and needs. I have to shut my ego up and replace negative thoughts and beliefs with more positive uplifting ones. I was doing my best with the knowledge I had but I do know I don’t know everything so this video really opened my eyes. Thanks very very much 🙏🏼 much love, peace and respect to you doc and same to anybody who also experiences anger like this.

I realize I cannot likely change people who have done wrong. I’ve unfortunately displayed a lot of these behaviors. My question is how to deal with people that have acted downright emotionally abusive to others in such a way that it feels righteous to be angry at them, without sacrificing your own peace? I wasn’t the one wronged to that degree, I’m mad at how they mistreated others.

I find it incredible how, as a society, we deem anger so taboo. we refuse to allow our children to express anger in any way and if they do (because it's often a natural and healthy response to injustice) if they do get angry, then they get placed in isolation until they have swallowed enough of the anger that they can present themselves as calm. the same dynamic happens applies to adults. the lesson is: don't express any angry instead pretend it's all bliss until you finally blow up and lose your shit with an ak. consciously FEEL YOUR FEELINGS in a way that does the least harm. how bout we try that. "negative" emotions are designed to turn "positive" once fully worked thru. some even say depression is anger turned inward.
@DrChristianConte5 жыл бұрын
Hi Tia! Yes, anger is completely natural, and it's so important to face it and learn from it. Certainly there are people who lash out impulsively and hurt others due to their anger, but absolutely, yes, it's ideal for people to learn how to handle this perfectly natural emotion. It sounds like you might allow yourself to get pretty frustrated (or even angry) with society or others who you perceive to not share your perspective. Hopefully you can find a conscious way to let that anger out, though. Definitely sending you all my best and TONS of peace!

1) assume others are the problem! Sounds exactly like my dad who blames others for his life and problems. 2) assume others need to change in order to find peace ☮️ and stop 🛑 becoming their puppet. 3) minimize your mistakes and maximize the harm they cause you. 4) live in your cartoon world 🌎 which my mom is unfortunately living in. 5) fill your mind with things you dislike which unfortunately I am guilty of which is about Donald Trump and MAGA republicans. 6) let us set out to change others! I’m guilty of that since I try to change those people who discriminate against others. 7) rely on your biases to continue to see the world 🌍 like you want to see it (aka hindsight bias and conformation bias). 8) use extreme language to describe the world 🌍 which produces extreme emotions. 9) be attached to whatever you think and believe (asymmetric insight). 10) play the yes but game (I don’t want to continue this game)

A few things on this list do pertain to me, but how do we actually start to focus more on ourselves when we have grown up our whole life thinking this way? Ive been angry for as long as I can remember, but Im struggling to get to the true root of my anger, which Im starting to see is myself, my values and beliefs, the things I hold as a standard of myself and everyone else. Im finding it hard to let go of that, and change myself.
