And I completely agree! The trend is naked, holes and cropped pieces and I hate that for us. Just because they make it doesn’t mean you should wear it and if you must wear it, know when to and when not to smh. It’s just tasteless and nasty, especially when they wear it to events that most would dress more conservative at. I’m embarrassed when I see it.

Sexy red is just so masculine. and no it’s not because she’s a black women, as I am a black woman myself. It just her whole personality and the way she acts is like a male rapper. She has wayyyy too much masculine energy. And I get there’s a thing called wanting to be one of the boys which is the tomboy vibe but I can’t even see the tomboy from her. This is solely my opinion. It seems to me that no matter how much money some of these entertainers are making they are lacking in basic self esteem and love for themselves. For the beautiful Black woman to parade themselves in such revealing outfits is sad. Most of the ladies outfits revealed nakedness and were borderline pornographic. To put one's body on display in such a manner does not show a health and respectable belief in oneself. When a person sacrifices their soul and self-dignity for the love of money it can only spiral downward from there. Some of the Black female singers and entertainers that I saw on TV and admired when I was growing up like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Lena Horne, Billie Holiday, Patty LaBelle, Rosalind Cash, and Vonetta McGee to just name a few, would never wear such revealing outfits. These ladies had more respect for themselves, their families and the public. Side Note: The red boots that Akon was wearing look very similar to the Bio-Hazzard Protection boots that Hospital worker wear when they are cleaning up blood in the emergency room. Very similar to the boots worn by workers cleaning up a toxic oil or chemical spill. Lastly, At least Pumpkin Spice was wearing a whole dress.

Unfortunately sometimes our Black Artists and Entertainers become deprived of sight, judgement, perception, reason and understanding due to the refulgence of the materialistic ostentatiousness they are now able to purchase. However, dignity and self-respect has no price. Thank you my Sister for being a light in darkness.
