I’d like him if he just stayed like a nice guy. A good leader, a good partner and a good person. Keep him simple like but with character, like they did in XMen Evolution. Make him a a nice guy, with normal flaws and not make his flaws overshadow his entire character. No dickhead meanness, no super jealous possessive simp, no cheating, no toxic relationships, and especially no murder!!! Make him an idealist, vulnerable, an adult, a god damn hero, not a piece of shit.

I mean tbh, it's the only real logical direction his character can go in. In a world where the death of your parents is relatively passé in terms of trauma, Cyclops is the closest thing to a privilege kid in the X-verse. He spent his whole life trying to live up to Xavier's optimistic ideal, and when he realized just how utterly impossible carrying that out would be, he became more and more jaded over time. Wolverine, on the other hand, has lived several lifetimes through all that while doing some of the worst things imaginable (voluntarily or otherwise), and is trying his damndest to put some good back in the world. Xavier didn't give up on him, so he won't give up on Xavier

That is actually horrible that he is your favorite character. You should be ashamed of yourself. He abandoned his wife and child. This is the reason why his ex-wife died and his child was kidnapped. He doesn’t end up seeing him until he’s Cable. Scott didn’t mourn him. He didn’t even care that his son was gone. He is near Thanos level, bad father.

Bro come on stop bringing up the Man past so much, everybody like to hold cyclops accountable but when it comes to the Any other X-Men or avenger people tend to forget the part they play whether it was civil war, world war hulk, and A vs X. Iron man has had a hand in all three, Captain American instead of being his usual self was self righteous black and white seeing jerk in A vs X who constantly fail to see the side of the mutants, Scarlet witch has mental health problems has caused countless deaths, Wolverine has killed many people and have done questionable and reckless things, Prof X is a arrogant jerk who had a crush on when she was a Teenager, and Jean has flirted with Wolverine to the point where it’s just disrespectful. Cyclops is not perfect he is not The worst either and at the end of the day I’m proud to say… Cyclops was right.

Concerning Scott having Laura join the black-OPs branch of the X-Men X-Force before giving her the mental and psychological therapy she needs Logan brings up to Scott Laura's Trigger Sense Mode basically when Laura gets the whiff of certain scents she goes into a psychotic berserker rage even more violent then her dad's with Logan, Charles, Jean, and Emma Frost being the only ones who can calm her down. Anyway Logan during his "chat" with Scott mentions that Laura's Trigger Scent mode makes her a danger not only to the enemies but to her fellow teammates and other members of the X-Men and to further drive this home Logan mentions that when Wolfsbane, and Nightcrawler the two "Christian preacher" members of X-Force that serve as the team's heart and voices of reason that keeps the team on the straight and narrow were holding a Sunday School session for some young unnamed mutants from Ireland and France who were Catholic Laura had one of her Trigger Scent incidents and violently interrupted said Sunday School session injuring Wolfsbane and sending via near-fatal injuries Nightcrawler and the young unnamed mutants to the Mansion's Medical Room with Logan stating when he learned of the incident from Rhaine the lycan-esque mutant states the only reason why the situation didn't end with the deaths of Nightcrawler and their Sunday School students was due to Beast and Professor Xavier showing up to restrain her and calm her down. Scott's infuriating responses to Logan were "And your point is.", "If we can deal your temper issues we can deal with Laura's", and finally "I'm sure Rhaine was just overreacting you know how she gets." and then leaves with Logan muttering that Scott is an idiot for not realizing the danger Laura's Trigger Scent episodes bring.

A lot of mentor characters in series that originally focused on teenage heroes (and that's what the OG X-men were) end up looking worse as we all get older and more jaded. Xavier turned a school for kids who needed extra specialized monitoring into a boot camp for superheroes with generalized trust issues loyal only to him.

Wolverine wasn't right even in the slightest. Scott did not cheat Jean was already dead and if i remember she gave Scott her blessing to be with Emma. Logan is really gonna lecture Cyclops on what's the proper way to grieve. When he kept chasing after Jean and wouldn't stop even after they got married, even after her death Logan isn't over her.
