I so wish there was a store like yours near me. I want to see how some of these feel in my hands. You make them all sound so wonderful.

Kanile'a model is the best sounding I think but there are some not far behind for a lot less money. That Snail S60C for example, less than half the price, and sound is not far behind. Same with the Millar CD-240W. It's a great time for ukulele buyers, so much quality out there now

Brrr... makes me cold looking at you with that jacket on. :D I had a look at the view count of the soprano video and... wow... already almost as many views as your last few tenor videos. Maybe the soprano is making a small comeback in terms of popularity. Here's hoping. :) Is there something wrong with my hearing or did that first cheapo Flight uke sound surprisingly warm for a laminate? I haven't paid much attention to their cheaper models but that looks and sounds surprisingly good.

Nah, it's a good uke - not bad hearing 😅

@@SouthernUkuleleStore Thought as much. Nice to see a quality uke from them at that beginner level price point. :)

That deluxe K1c is a beaut. I'm almost tempted to trade in my own K1c. That some delicious looking Koa. Took me pretty much two years to realise I needed that 38mm nut width and their shallow profile for the comfort of my old paws. They are equally as beautiful sounding with a set of D'addarrio titaniums. Changing out the Aquila strings on just about anything seems to improve sound quality and playability, I reckon.

The Millar 240W sounds and looks great! But Kanile'a is always my favorite.

The Millar cd 254w is just fab; Snail and K notwithstanding.

I think it's worth mentioning that the Voyager has semi-hemispherical fret ends - something that Baz from Got a Ukulele recently described as an incredibly high end feature. I don't know if that's the best description (since both of the Voyagers, the Flight Spirit and the Flight Fireball has them as well) but they are definitely rare and very cool.

Hi Alex, love your reviews. Helped me decide on future purchases. Btw can you tell me the name of the tune you always play when reviewing ukuleles? Thanks!

Hi Alex ! Thank you so much for all the rich and detailed content of this great video !! I had that redwood sinker in the back of my mind for a while, and I finally placed an order to the SUS an hour ago for one. I hesitated a moment with a cedar top pineapple, but knowing that this redwood had been waiting for about a century in the pristine water of an Oregon river sounded so unique that I could not resist ! Plus the sound demo was really convincing too. My ukes are usually more on the soft mellow side. Can't wait to welcome it in my little uke family !

That's excellent news Bernadine! I'm very jealous - it's a lot of uke for the money and I'm sure you will love it 😀

Thank you for a very nice review. I fell in love with the second...The Ohana...I will probably buy that uke before the autumn 🙂. I mean...spruce top, rosewood back and side, slotted head, wondeful sound...and a brand I like & trust...It got it all ❤

Hi Alex, I have listened to this video twice. Once on my LG V60 then on the JBL sound system in our Toyota Tundra. I will likely listen again using the Quad DAK of the V60 and my high fidelity headphones. The reason is both times I have listened so far the playing sections were very muted in comparison to the speaking sections. This made comparing the ukuleles sounds rather difficult. The 3rd time I will adjust the volume accordingly. So far I really like the CK-42.

Sorry about that. It isn't something I noticed during editing
