i am a retired counselor. I have been watching your channel for a while. I have learned a lot about gardening and have bought your book. As i watched both of you, I realized the best advice either of you could give was just being examples. The communication between you was excellent and I believe that trumps all other possible issues.

Jeremiah, Thank you so much for talking about Mental Health from the viewpoint of a male who was in the military. What an important topic. I work for a Mental Health Non-Profit. You have done so much good by sharing your story and reducing the stigma that is associated with getting help and working on Mental Health. Thank you! At 17 and 19 years old my husband and I made vows to each other to never have divorce as an option. We got married at 18 and 20 and have been married for almost 8 years now, and have a thriving marriage. A lot of people judged us for how young we were when we got married but you can’t question God’s timing, and the fruit that has come from our marriage in 8 years is immeasurable. ❤️ Congrats y’all. What a beautiful testimony and example to set for others before you.

Ya know, I've always labeled myself as someone who would never get married (saw too many toxic/failed relationships early on) and the idea of it would warp my mind. However, after stumbling on your channel for gardening purposes (and entertainment of course😊 ); the notion of marriage no longer messes with my brain. Of course we only see what your present, but-what you present is nothing but love and mutual respect! Nothing but love and respect from me to you folks! Happy Anniversary guys!

There IS such a love between you two. There are MANY more tens of years ahead for the both of you. You really are adorable together, and you are so good for one another. In so many videos you have made, it’s so obvious the way he looks at you Jess, and I love it when he walks up from behind , and puts his arms around you. There are so many things like that I have noticed, and it all says, you have a gem of a husband Jess! Yes we all have issues with one another in our relationships, but you can always tell, deep down, if there is still that spark and deep love there. It’s the little things that husbands and wives do for each other that really truly count, and of course the way you talk about each other is so telling. I always tell people, that I don’t care if he picks me up a box of tick tacs at the store, and brings it home to me with a smile and kiss, without me even asking for them. It means just as much to me, as if he were handing me a diamond. You have all the reason in the world to celebrate today! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

It’s so true that working on yourself first is the most important step for a solid partnership. I think if we really get down and examine it, the reason most relationships fail is due to one or both people’s insecurity. If someone truly loves themself and truly loves their partner for who they are then it is nearly unbreakable. My partner isn’t perfect but I love his whole person, his imperfections are endearing to me. And when we have legitimate bumps in the road we support one another and get through it because it won’t work any other way. A relationship is not two separate halves, it’s one whole.

We knew right from the beginning that we wanted to build a life and a family together. There was definitely never a "casual" please in our life either! This is such valuable information, and I especially appreciate Miah stressing the importance for men to allow this kind of healing to take place, particularly veterans who have experienced such deep trauma... wow, great discussion, and Happy Anniversary! Glad you all found each other!

Miah, I am so glad you are opening up all your emotions held in check for so long. And encouraging fellow heros (soldiers, police officers, firefighters, etc) to do the same. I think that everyone needs to do this to some extent.

Gosh, 10 years ago I was in a pre-professional ballet training program, deeply unhappy & closeted. So glad everything has changed 🌼
