At 17 and 19 years old my husband and I made vows to each other to never have divorce as an option. We got married at 18 and 20 and have been married for almost 8 years now, and have a thriving marriage. A lot of people judged us for how young we were when we got married but you can’t question God’s timing, and the fruit that has come from our marriage in 8 years is immeasurable. ❤️ Congrats y’all. What a beautiful testimony and example to set for others before you.

There IS such a love between you two. There are MANY more tens of years ahead for the both of you. You really are adorable together, and you are so good for one another. In so many videos you have made, it’s so obvious the way he looks at you Jess, and I love it when he walks up from behind , and puts his arms around you. There are so many things like that I have noticed, and it all says, you have a gem of a husband Jess! Yes we all have issues with one another in our relationships, but you can always tell, deep down, if there is still that spark and deep love there. It’s the little things that husbands and wives do for each other that really truly count, and of course the way you talk about each other is so telling. I always tell people, that I don’t care if he picks me up a box of tick tacs at the store, and brings it home to me with a smile and kiss, without me even asking for them. It means just as much to me, as if he were handing me a diamond. You have all the reason in the world to celebrate today! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

It’s so true that working on yourself first is the most important step for a solid partnership. I think if we really get down and examine it, the reason most relationships fail is due to one or both people’s insecurity. If someone truly loves themself and truly loves their partner for who they are then it is nearly unbreakable. My partner isn’t perfect but I love his whole person, his imperfections are endearing to me. And when we have legitimate bumps in the road we support one another and get through it because it won’t work any other way. A relationship is not two separate halves, it’s one whole.
