I don't think I've ever commented...but I HAVE to. The coolest thing about Asher that I have seen is that he can stand there, facing a fear, admit he's nervous, but persevere through it. Cooler than breezing through something with confidence. Cooler than the awesome red hair. Doing something hard in pursuit of connection and growth. Go Asher go!

I love the outdoor kitchen that Doug and Stacy have over on the Off Grid with Doug & Stacy! I told my husband that is what I want built ASAP when we are looking at our “Graduation” from our rental backyard garden. Love your family and the inspiration you bring to us all!

It will be an awesome time building your new homestead. A new, clean slate, look at all the work u did at ur original place, u remember ur beginnings there, look what you have there now. South Carolina homestead will be great, looking forward following y’all, and learning from y’all. May God bless y’all and have safe travels back and forth moving.

The new homestead is such a blessing. Build the pole shed and you can always pull the camper in, during cold weather months, if you are still in it at that time.

I’ve always heard that the biggest influence on accent development is a child’s peers (or whoever they spend the most time with during those pre-teen years) and that by adolescence their accent becomes less malleable. If that’s true, the younger boys seem like they’d be in their primes for drawl development!

Even if you just put a little kitchen in the pole barn, or built a little pavilion and put an outdoor kitchen at the end of it, that could be SO helpful for you with keeping up with food!

My husband, son and I moved back home to Texas and lived in an RV for over 6 months. We built a 1500 SQ foot barndominium. Half of it is a small house and we have LOVED it plus it's paid off while we save to build a dream home adjacent. It's great that the pressure is off for the next build since we are already on our property and have no mortgage. I hope y'all can find a way to live on your land that lends you the same stability as you build the home of your dreams. All the best to ya'll.

Awesome hair, Asher! When I was young a very long time ago, back in the 1970's, I dyed my hair blue! Be free and proud of your self expression! I am sure God has given you the soul of an artist, poet, inventor, adventurer! God Bless you all on your move! Y'all are closer to NC now, so look forward to see what y'all have planned for your new space! My husband and I are City "Kids" who retired to an acre in NC, best move of our lives! Y'all inspire us to try things and to always keep dreaming! Our best conversations of our marriage happen in our garden plucking weeds! Thank you for sharing your world! Blessings always! Love the Maricich Family!

It’s like you’re telling the story of my and my family’s current life. We too are moving our family and goats across the country, ready to build our farm from scratch, and not knowing what every step will look like. Our home is sold, we close in a month, then we head to east Tennessee! And we don’t have property to move to yet 😆. It’s huge, and exciting, and scary. Best of luck to you all, and blessings on you. We’ll be joyfully watching your journey.

Lastly, as a west coast girl, I didn’t know there were different accents in the south 😂 I am about to go look up what a South Carolina accent is.
