when we plug in the books parameters into Amazon KDP Price Calculator - with their price of $3.99 - the price calculator pop-up an error - suggesting that the books price is too low, and must be adjusted to the minimum! It is therefore strange how this Seller is able to list their books for this $3.99 price-tag - we think your videos could start to mature into more detailed explanation - answering comments would also help your channel!

Some sellers add a high shipping/handling fee at checkout. In this case, it's probably volume. They have a massive quantity printed, then sell for a very low profit per item. Just guessing here.

There are many countries which use "dollars" but their own, not USD. Check if she is talking Australian dollars?

How is it possible to sell an independently published KDP 108 page book for $3.99? I have 108 page books priced at $6.45 that make $1 royalty. $3.99 would be below cost, wouldn’t it?

Thankyou so much for this "in-depth" presentation. So much information. - my mind is racing.

I've been trying to figure out for the last 6 months how they are even able to list this KDP book at 3.99 with that page count since it's not possible to do so. The only thing I can think of is they made a deal with KDP since it's a popular phone app brand to be exclusive? But anyone with their own theories would be appreciated.

Thanks excellent content! Hope you haven’t taken seriously that “you don’t explain or answers questions”, short of spoon feeding these people, what do they expect? They need to LISTEN, instead of focusing on picking apart details if genuinely interested in publishing. Keep up the great work, I am inspired thanks again. A+

I am also wondering how they are able to sell at 3.99, I wish you would address this! How can we compete with 6.99 books?
@ThegoldenchildMeditation10 ай бұрын
because she is not telling the truth the market is saturated and making these type of clickbait videos makes her money. It is the same as Sean Dollwet. Giving false hope for people. You have to pump hundreds and thousands for advertising even with good books. Take all this with a pinch of salt. Ask her where are her figures. FOS

Thank you again for another great video! I have a question: Can you print your own books and sell them on Amazon? Anybody knows?
@thegrowingauthor297211 ай бұрын
That would be drop shipping and is different from kdp. You would need to have your own LLC and business account to sell your own products like that.

Thank you! I love your posts and always find them quite valuable. I always wonder how these successful activity books *specifically used Amazon Ads to get books sold. It seems so very complicated to use. Trying to wrap my head around Amazon Ads lately...

Sure, we can compete with books selling for 3.99???? I can't believe how many KDP videos use examples like that.

Oh yea - did not see that until you pointed it out. Good catch! Hmmm, at 6.95 I get 1.33 profit. How can you sell in the negative. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Here's the story behind this video. She doesn't show any of her personal sales on KDP with this strategy. She might be successful in other areas of KDP, I don't know. What she is doing is affiliate marketing. She is selling other developers tools to make these kinds of books. I am NOT saying this is a scam! She is providing a means for one to get into this niche. But you can see that the example she uses is from a seller that has a very big brand and is able to sell their products for a price that you cannot match. (See other comments) So, it seems as though it would be very difficult to actually be successful in this niche. Other niches would probably be better, such as medium and long form books, but they take a larger amount of time and resourses to be successful. Do not get captured by the "get rich quick" virus. I wish this woman well on her business.
