When my kids were in school I taught them one thing - find out what your teacher wants and give that to them... period. Every teacher is different, every boss is different, but if you figure out what they want or how they prefer things to be done, you have learned the code for success! They are adults now and still tell me they remember that advice. Ebay is telling us exactly how to be successful with their algorithm. Give ebay what it wants and you will be successful... period.

Thank you for these videos. Even though I know, in theory how Ebay works, the way you broke it down struck something in my brain. Thanks.

Thanks! Hope you enjoy episode 2. The ad is in the front as it is currently our top way to advertise it, appreciate the feedback.

@@hustlinhooksThat understandable. Maybe you'll have to do a video on that so people get it. Just getting.

Yeh, BUT........aren't there supposed to be millions of buyers out there? If you have what they want when they are finally looking for it, at a competitive price and with excellent feedback, would it matter if it was "stale"? I know that eBay states in their terms of service that there is no guarantee that your listings will be seen by anyone. As a non-store owner, I don't like that, but understand. If I was paying, I'd be livid. Long-time subscriber here. Thanks!

Thanks - yes, in short. But like you state and I stated, it’s the theory of how it works in the background. Should they punish sellers by suppressing them? I don’t know, what I do know is that they will do whatever it takes to make money. And it may seem counterintuitive, but if there are 2 sellers with the same item and one is inactive, the active seller will get the sale.
