Joe, I agree "anything can and will go wrong when you are out there" ... I am just getting into your videos - fantastic by the way....saw you have trouble with the dull ice anchors...here is a UBI : take a good anchor and make a hole, remove that anchor and insert a dull anchor into the good hole, to get you through the trip until you can sharpen the dull ones at home...I also agree with the comments below about easy going and laid back as this is why we venture out in the first place...

We found this video this afternoon by sheer chance. Somehow missed it last season but none the less another winner. I’m thinking the wood stove would have been a better option for this trip along with a bigger tent? I know one thing, you put that sled through the paces and if it can stand up to your torture tests, it has to be a worthwhile purchase. Thank you again for all you do to make these fun and informative shows. You are up there among the greats such as Gadabout Gaddis and Bud Levitt. Rock on Joe, Sidways!
@JoeHollandFishing Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, would have loved having the woodstove this trip for sure, Probably wouldn't have ventured far from it. Maybe keep the smaller tent with it though, IDK its a coin toss. Either way it was an epic trip for me with so much fun and lessons learned and challenges accomplished.

CUSK NUGGETS!!! Nothing beats Cusk and is hands down one of the best tasting fish in Maine. Forgetting the drill is a bummer as I’ve been in your shoes trying to anchor down with dull or bent Anchors. Lol. The frequent mention of Ozzy is great to hear as growing up I was good friends with both of them. Brings back memories of the ice shack days on Ambajejus. Love your channel!!

Hi Joe, I stumbled upon your channel with your recent Expedition purchase. I own the 2020 Expedition Extreme, which I just love…..it is truly the best sled I have every owned. I was so excited for you on your new purchase…..that 900 ACE sounds like a beast. I live out in Alberta Canada and do a lot of mountain riding. I use to own the 1200 Grand Touring back in Ontario Canada, so similar to the 900 ACE I would imagine. You just seem like a genuine guy and it is so nice to see you get something new. I am not much of a fisherman as I have gotten older, but loved it growing up in the Muskoka’s. I will tune into the rest of this trip to see what you manage to catch. Looking forward to your sled review maybe at the end of this season.

I've never seen someone pack so much gear in, but it sure seems like you've got a sweet setup. Thanks for the fun video. I like watching you just be out in the wilderness. Good luck fishing and be safe!
