I went on a long trail hike here. I live at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains. I wore hiking boots. Blistered up badly. That was the last time I wore hiking boots when hiking. Nice country up there.

I remember watching this series when you first came out with it on the trip from Jasper to Grande Cache, quite the little journey and it was quite the back country trip but the trip was pretty epic. lots of views and sights and of course lots of leg burning miles. what a trip it was to see... and watch once again

Hello from Northwest Pennsylvania, I like that vitamin referral it's nice to see you have your pup with y'all vitamin R works for me on most of my trips. Broken is because y'all are taking on to much at a time I'm 7 -10 k since I'm in my 50s now. Nice reference on the plants too.

Thank you for filming your adventure. I would like to provide you with some hint for long walks. Always used broken in footwear that is comfortable and use two pairs of socks the first near the skin very thin and the second one normal pair you wear daily and train a few weeks ahead of the long walk. Buck seems to be enjoying every step.

Good on you guys for pushing through , I’m sure you both learned a lot on your journey ! The mountains are no joke any time of year and can really kick your ass hard lol. Next time you’re looking for another backcountry trip to do look into Yaha-Tinda to Lake Louise , that’s a challenge for sure !

lol, we passed some horse packers who used to use dogs for packing at hunting outfits in the Mackenzie Mountains. They told us he can carry more so we listened to them. But just him carrying his own food is a big help. I think we put our mess kit in there too. What a good boy!

We're halfway through the video and loving it! We always enjoy your channel. I do hope that you can find a hiking boot that works better for you in the future, blister-wise--my heart goes out to you with that!! Also I recommend a gravity water filtration system when out in the wilderness, which can help with filtering large amounts of water. Anyway, just lovely country!

I have Zamberlains also. Same boots. I've never developed blisters wearing them. It's all in the socks moving back and forth across your skin. Glue the sock on. Lol. Good old buck.

Just watched this, was looking for the 2nd part and noticed the date of this video, which tells me the 2nd part is not up yet. Pretty suspenseful end to the first part, hope your feet are better. Great to see Tori and her perspective, she is more like how I would be if I was younger. Nice to see Buck enjoying his naps at most stops also. Looking forward to seeing the next part. Nice trip. Im an expat canuck living down here in California. We have to have back pack bear barrels, in the Seirra mtns, or the fine is huge. Lots of bears up at 9 to12,000 feet. 😁
