Firstly welcome and thank you for clicking on my face!
At the beginning of each month I do a £100 stock up shop where I buy the items that won't go bad within that month that are Aldi price matched at Tescos. This is for a few reasons, to save my time and money and I also appreciate knowing that I have a large and full pantry of food for in emergency's I know I have the basics to easily feed our family of 5.
We are a homeschool family of 5 and live off one income, a way we are able to afford the lifestyle we have chosen without getting into debt is by having a budget and sticking to it.

I completely agree with getting better quality food if you can afford it. Cooking and baking from scratch instead of preprepared foods/takeaways cancel each other out.

Really interesting. We also try to buy a few organic products where we can afford them. The Tesco flour is the best value we found. I always get organic oats & try to find tomatoes & potatoes too as these foods are highly sprayed with pesticides. Once you start looking into it, it’s scary what happens to our foods

Lovely to see you do appreciate you taking time to do videos. Things happen in life that change our priorities l feel the little tweaks in diet can make a difference lm lucky do have wriggle room in finances im not the best with baking but have to have good bread ( can't stand it when they have loads of ingredients ) which i pay a lot for .i buy organic oats (Aldi great price ) do buy certain organic veg . My budget had to go up but never have takeaways probably go out for lunches a few times a year so happy at that x😊

Happy to see these back but understand the difficulties in trying to film them. We're a family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids 7,5,2 our budget i like to keep between 400 and 500 a month. I do get the chance to pick up yellow stickers on fruite and veg when I can to stretch my the money. Thanx again for sharing.

I second the move to organic... Did it a couple of years ago, and coupled with making most things from scratch, it's no more expensive. Plus the shelf life is generally better, meaning no waste. Re. Flour storage..... it's great, but beware of "flour mites" ... Unless the containers are tightly sealed, then the mites are a potential problem....vacuum sealers are great for avoiding any issues...cheap too. Yeah French's mustard is pretty clean...once you drop to supermarket own brand American mustard, you'll see potassium sorbate (worth a Google), amongst other nasties in the ingredients. All the best 👍

@@thelifeofjools8384 thank you and I'll definitely have a look look! 💛 Luckily we go through our flour pretty quickly so mites haven't been an issue in this house. We used to get them all the time in our old house for sure! 💛💛💛
