Got a good question. I heard you say you mark up materials X2 for a 50 percent margin. We mark up items under 10 X 3 And once we’re over 1000 we mark up 1.3 Are you guys doubling the price of equipment ?

I'm a landscaper and I make good money, but it's very labor-intensive and it seems like plumbing you can learn a skill and you can get paid for knowing a skill versus just manual labor. How do you make the jump from going to making good money to low money to learn the skill? Most companies in our area are only paying around 18 to 25 in that range.

There's no reason that a landscaping business can't be as valuable as a plumbing business. Most plumbing businesses are actually wortless. What makes plumbing more expensive is the shortage of workers and the difficulty to train them, and the equipment cost. With landscaping you can train workers much easier, and it's a way bigger talent pool.

@@bootthekidill informed. You don't understand the plumbing industry. Plumbing is proected by organizations that issue licenses which hold the plumber responsible for laws and code- that's valuble. If you screw up a plumbing job you ruin a family's home or expensive property, if you screw up a landscaping job you get a high water bill and a mud puddle in the yard. You also don't need the landscaping done, you need water and sewer functioning. Or it's an emergenxy. Plumbing is more valuble than landscaping

@@matthockman I own a fairly successful plumbing business charging over $600/hr. Landscaping can be very profitable because you don't need to overcome the licensing and training hurdles associated with plumbing. You can get laborers with very little training required. If you can target the correct buyers, you can sell them on having a better lawn than their neighbors which is very, very valuable to some people.
