I believe it is within most of us to help in another's moment of need. A few years ago, I saw a woman appearing to be struggling to keep standing. I ran across the road and saw that she was very pale. She explained that she suddenly felt very weak and needed help. I called for an ambulance. She then told me her mother was waiting for her at a nearby restaurant. I ran and brought her mom back just as an ambulance arrived. When they left, the mother asked for my name. Several days later, I began receiving calls to alert me that I had been named in a letter to our local newspaper. I was sent a screenshot of the letter that explained the woman's blood pressure had dropped dangerously and mentioned my assistance. That warmed my heart. I subsequently met mom and daughter for lunch. I had made 2 lovely new friends. Kindness costs nothing but can be so rewarding.

I was on the streets several yrs ago now. I remember 1 night a random, extremely kind man came up to me and gave me some money to get myself a room for the night so I had somewhere to sleep. I will always be greatly appreciative towards this kind stranger that helped me!

Yes, that was so cute! It's already been scientifically proven, that 'race' is not really a thing. You can have more in common with a person from a different 'race', then with one of your own. So, I guess, you actually ought to say skin tone. Amazing, that we love brown, black, gray and white dogs, but we learn to hate each other on something so superficially. The one where the girl asked her step dad to adopt her... That hit different. I'm 28 and STILL want to be adopted by my step dad but don't have the money. That means so much to kids honestly. He tried but my sperm donor wouldn't let him since he didn't legally relinquish his rights and then financial troubles. To any step parent with a partners kids with absent parents, it really means so much to kids to be accepted and loved by their step parents and one day I'll have enough money to pay for it. My dad (step) just suffered two heart attacks in three days. My dream is that he'll adopt me before he ever leaves this Earth. That's my dad and I love him so much and I'm just grateful to have him.

As someone who couldn't get the adoption papers filed in time, all I can tell you is push. Do what you can to get the papers and push to get them signed and filed away or it will be one of your greatest regrets in life. I'm 28 too and my mama, the woman who had the backbone to raise a wild child like me, passed away in 2021 suddenly and the only regret I have is that I didn't push a little harder to get papers signed where she was legally my mama.

While I was working as an EVS worker in a hospital, I went up to hospice to clean a room and saw a young teenage girl sobbing after her grandfather passed. The only thing that I could do was comfort her as much as I could. Every grieving person needs the same thing and God bless them.

I broke down at the father listening to his dead daughters heart beating in someone else’s chest. Having lost a daughter and offering her organs up for transplant, I’d have loved for part of her to live on. Sadly, that was not possible at the end and there is nothing left of her but memories in this world. After nearly 5 years, I still find it all hard to accept. ❤️

We were especially taught to hate people and shun those that practiced other denominations. If THEY didn't approve of a person, we weren't to talk to that person or even invite them into the church. "We don't want their kind here." So don't pretend the Angel of Light teaches you to hate. HUMANS know how to hate just fine on their own.

I lost my grandfather in 2018 and I wish I could have told you how much you meant to me I got the chance and I will never forget that man because he stepped up to be a father and everyone else left me I had two fathers my biological father my stepfather my stepfather left my life when I was 14 my grandfather took the role of being a dad just like my grandmother I lived with my grandfather and grandmother cuz my mother was on drugs and messed up probably left so to anyone out there you still has a grandmother and a grandfather don't take them for granted spend as much time as you can with him appreciate the time you have with them cuz you never know when that day comes to where it's your last day spending with them

I lost my mom very unexpectedly in early 2019. Right now she is buried in the the back lot with all of our old dogs. (legal here), and seriously, if I had more time to talk with her, she would have mentioned which dog she wanted to be closest to. I had a major stroke one day in the middle of the street and a man and his daughter came and helped me. I never knew who they were until one day I was sitting at a restaurant waiting on an order when this complete stranger came up to me and put his hands on my knees and looked at me straight to the face 😳 and asked me if I knew who's he or if I remember him? I stared at him and said you look familiar but no. He said that he was the man that helped me when I suffered my episode and I couldn't believe it after it finally hit me I stood up and hugged crying and said thank you for saving my life.

I wish I could relate to this. My grandparents are/were pretty horrible, in exception of my late paternal grandpa but he died when I was 4 but I heard that he was a really kind man. My older sister has some good memories with him but I wasn't old enough to remember any. My other 3 have/had their favourite children and that extended to their favourite grandchildren as well. My mother and father were the black sheep in their respective family before marriage so you get the gist.

When I was in school the kid with the prosthetic leg was called gimpy etc. I got in a few scuffles with the kids that weren’t raised to love everyone. It makes such a difference if you take the time to teach your children well. (CSNY). I know all those times I told my kids to treat everyone e with love and respect payed off because they are the best kids a dad could ask for. Thank you so much for this beautiful video. its so sad to see all the grandparent ones because my grandparents are in their 70's and not in the greatest of health (grandpa fought in vietnam) (grandma has diabetes and plenty other problems walking with a cane right now) and i am trying to enjoy every moment i have with them and i genuinely dont know what ill do when they are gone they are my soul and my whole life i love them more than i love my parents tbh, and i pray that they live forever, and hopefully they do, but i understand whats coming and im not ready for it

Enjoy every moment you have with them making new memories and cherish old memories. My grandparents are both gone and I miss them dearly. I'm sad because I never got to meet my mom's dad as he passed away from a heart attack while swimming at their vacation home. My mom was in her late teens when she lost her dad. She also lost her middle sister to Lupus as a teen, so two people that I never had the chance to meet. Heard some great stories about them so I cherish that, but still........

Really love videos like this. It reminds me that no matter how bad things can get there is still so much goodness in people. But I love how children can be so accepting the most. That means so much to me. I just want the world to be better than the way it has been. We all need to be better. Adults need to let children be the ones to show us how to be with others.

Unrelated, but one field day a kid in a wheelchair came to my station, but he had nobody to play with him (It was a 2 player game). So, I asked his caretaker if I could play with him, and they agreed and I played with him at the station for a few turns. It warmed my heart and I realized how fortunate I was. ❤❤❤❤

I love that he differentiated between race and color, because they get lumped together so often. No child is born with a bias to anything. Any aversions of their own may come later, but if parents just taught their children all people are people we'd have so much less hate in this world. Animals too, because they too feel things and think at least rudimentarily and should be treated so.

Drowning...I have memory forever, when my friend drowned in river with a strong current, 32 years ago, but still haunting sometimes. I was too young to do anything, smart enough to stand by. Over time it comes to mind and regret, maybe there was a solution. I have also had opportunity to save people from drowning twice, later in life.
