A tip for the chicken hatching/breeding, they get the warmth through walls so you can build a barrier around the chicken coop's fire pit to prevent them from killing themselves.

Honestly I'm probably gonna get a mod that'll let me use the wisplight and the belt at the same time. I get some of the restrictions in this game but others seem like pointless overkill and the wisplight making you unequip the item weight belt is definitely one of them.

The wiki claims the rugs don't stack and I'm pretty sure that's correct. Made a second, different rug and the comfort level was the same.

I had two PC crashes involving many many hours so I'm using the developer mode to explore first. When I get the original main back online he had defeated YG and explored his whole world without any cheats. My main Citadel is a fortress with a sundial in the courtyard. Had to edit, darn keystroke monitors.

Hey Kysen, good job on uncovering Mistlands BTW! Since I know there are hens in the game, I'm wondering what they could eat. Seeds seems proper food for them, but I think you should try the Fish Baits. All new variations as well, just in case there's an easter egg about it. I know I know, it does sound like a dad joke! But still, I'm wondering about it since Hens does eat worms, well the early Hen get the worm, don't know about the lazy ones... 😁 Anyway, cheers and have fun with the Mistlands!

Here's a little knowledge bomb for you Ky (not Mistlands specific): PORTAL miscellania... I was messing around with my portals & came across the following minor glitch in the programming. As we (should) all know, give two portals the same name to make a connection. Give a third portal the same name and it breaks all three. However, build a fourth one and give it the same name and suddenly all four portals work again - as two separate links. The first two you name will be linked, and portals three & four will be linked. I haven't tested it further but I wouldn't mind betting that if you have six portals all with the same name, portals five & six would also form a link. Not that this is particularly useful, or game breaking, but it could be useful. I stumbled upon this because I routinely take portal materials along as I explore and gather random resources along the way (good way to build a reserve of wood and stone by picking up loose stuff on the ground) then tele back to base & drop off when full. I had forgotten whether or not I already had a portal pair down (TIP # TWO: with no name - my usual exploring portal has no name - it's the fastest way to slap one down and use it) when I got distracted and lost track. I remembered later and found one of the original portal pairings and realised that I had actually now got four portals all with no name, linked as two distinct pairs. Fun fact eh :)

It seems like for the blood magic it takes 40 percent of your current health. At 90 health, it took 36 hp to cast, which is 40 percent of 90.

Hey Kysen I just wanted to thank you for all the great videos you're making. It's really helpful for casual players like me. There is only one question that I would love if you could answer it. Can you use the wisp (not the wisplight) as a none-burning light source ? Can I drop it in my buildings and have it dance around and light things or place it on an item stand?

You can't use a wisp or wisplight for this but there is a new wisp torch in the game that provides some light and doesn't require re-fuelling :)

Misttorch are pretty much garbage when you realize that mobs will target them and break them. So you need to repair them non... fucking.... stop. And that mist... dear lord. Me and a friend walked by a dungeon entrance about 10 times while making a camp in the mistlands before even noticing it. So there is a huge issue with the density and clear range of that fog. And those mobs... the no star soldier seeker will break stone in 1 hit. Even a troll take longer. Pretty sure there is still a ton of balancing left to that region.

They do. Took over one of their bases by destroying their ward. 2 IG days later a crossbow thugboy was there and he wasn't buddy buddy. But he was a good distraction for the creeper soldier...

For anyone wondering why Patch 0.212.9 changed the way rugs work with comfort level. From the patch notes "* Comfort from different carpets no longer stacks" This patch came out Dec 20 which was after this video was posted.

Yeah, I took a break from the Mistlands since I couldn’t get there really. They broke my portal and spawned on it so when I ran to get my body it killed me so now I can’t get there. And then it broke like the three ships I sailed to get there so I’m stepping away for a bit.

I found a nice area where the mist doesn't spawn and was fairly flat. Just keep looking and I'm sure you'll find something suitable.

Does anyone have tips for simply staying alive. My friend and I have been having massive amounts of trouble dealing with soldier seekers and gjalls because they don’t seem to take much damage. The gjall will follow us anywhere we go so we are afraid of going back to our base/portal because they will simply destroy everything. It’s very frustrating that we can’t progress just because the enemies seem way to hard even though we have armor and weapons that were meant to take us into the new biome but we are still helpless, and we have lost about half of our skill levels since we started playing again.

maybe a more sneaky and slow approach is needed for mistlands, if you run about in there and burn stamina you wont be able to bail out when you need too, i am guessing avoiding Gjalls and seeker Soldiers will be the way to manage mistlands before you get better equipment and food

I was having trouble too. The enemies hit so hard, even with padded armor and a shield. It seems the soldiers have weak spots behind them, and the Gjalls are weak in the orange area under them. The big problem I had was a 1 star seeker taking over half my health in one hit. The big obstacle is getting black cores from the infested mines. Being careful, using AoE weapons on groups, and getting out alive is key to advancing weapons and armor. Along with soft tissue for the magic stuff. I kinda hate how it destroys buildings and stuff, but whatever. Once you can make new weapons and armor, things start getting a little easier.

I know your post is a month old but if anyone else is curious, the bonemass ability is amazing for 5 min of mass murdering of mistland enemies. Then go home and work on your chicken farm until your buff is ready again.

How do you increase your blood magic bar? Everyone keeps making videos on how to do magic but the reality is that you CANT summon a skeleton with your starting bar of blood magic. It takes about 100 and even if your right at 100 it won't summon the skeleton. I see guys on here with bars of like 2-300. We need that part covered if we are talking magic

Have you tried taking a dverger with you on a boat? I tried to push one into the boat by finding a dverger base that is relatively close to water, clear the area from other mobs and then push the dverger using the fence method. It was hard but I was able to do it. However, as soon as the boat moved forward, the dverger jumped into the water so it was a big waste of time. Maybe you could figure something out.

Bringing dverger to your base looks like a great defense opportunity since they do not attack the tamed animals and even if a beehive strikes them they do not go aggro on you and your pets.

You might have to go back and pick up things from previous lands to trigger the recipes. Try picking up black metal, black metal bars, wheat, things like that. I remember wondering why the hell I couldn't get the recipe for the maypole and the flower head thing even though I knew they had been added. Picked up a dandelion (I think it was) and all the recipes started shootin' across the screen. Edit: Or maybe you have to defeat a boss?

@@JolastikaParanoia I just saying pick them up in to your personal inventory (so you are carrying them on you), thats what triggers new recipes. The act of picking up things. Maybe there's a bug and even though you've picked those things up before, maybe they'll trigger if you pick them up again.
