Hi, yeah the second half of my bikepacking trip the weather took a dramatic turn! Tent nearly blew away at one point; and a fair degree of walking with the bike due to very high wings.. all coming up!

Loving your trip. Making me think I would love to do something like this. “Zevenzaar” was I think actually Zevenaar (several of my Dutch family live there).

Yeah I noticed afterwards I had read the sign completely wrong - you are right! Yeah bikepacking is so much fun, and with the Netherlands you are never too far away from modern life plus no much climbing if that's what you like.

Very wooded. How did you find all those forest paths? Most Dutch people don't even know that...

When you live there you know, and really don't advertise it. You can find plenty along the eastern and southern borders. Basically it is a joy to ride there, plenty of paths unknown, but also the knooppuntmaps can be used.

When I am planning a route I use RideWithGPS and switch to the OSM map overlays which better shows woodland and the national parks. I then use the heat map to see where people are riding, you can always drop the little man down in some of the places to see Google streetview and on top of that you can the satellite as well just in case. If in doubt I'll reduce the heat map to the last 7 days as well so I can be sure whether or not somewhere is ridable or not. Germany on the other hand you have to rely solely on the heat map due to strict privacy laws there is no Google streetview available much of the time. Add to all that planning a little bit of faith that if you reach a dead end there is always a way around. Thanks for your question and watching!

Nice video, I don't care, but you can get a fine for camping in the forest (wild camping) 150 euros
