I am exhilirated to see a person of non-west-european descent giving such clear and argumented reasons for beeing atheist. There are so few who do this on KZbin that I started to think all people of African descent (of course, looking far enough back, we all are) are hooked on one of the Abrahamic religions. Can you imagine how much you reassured me there is still hope for reason in humanity? I love you! Peace, for us all!

Imre Fabian Thank you so much for this. One of the main reasons I wanted to start this channel is because I realized there was gap in the Atheist KZbin space; and I feel so passionately about the detrimental aspects of religion. I appreciate your comment and your support - you let me know that people out there are getting something from my videos.

+Imre Fabian You do realize most of the Native American population is atheist or traditionally based right? Most cultures forced down by white oppression can't stand Christianity.
@fabimre9 жыл бұрын
*****, I wouldn't know. I've never met natives from the USA part of America. The natives I've met were all from Surinam, South America and those were all Roman Catholics. I specifically mentioned African Descent as what you see on TV and YT are in a vast majority devoted Christians. Natives are marginalised on those media.

+Imre Fabian there are a lot of non-religious, agnostic & Athiest African Americans than society leads people to believe! Half my family is not religious at all versus those in that christian coma!

I just found you through other Atheist websites, and absolutely love your videos. You are so knowledgable and easy to listen to. Keep the videos coming.

I found you by accident yesterday and watched three if your videos. I think you are doing a great job. You're right in that becoming an atheist isn't an easy or overnight decision. I "evolved" into it myself and it started when I realized it is impossible for the Bible to be the "perfect and infallible word of God" that I was always taught. And I was going to be a minister and raised in church. (Three times a week and got a spanking or grounded if I refused.) Anyway, love your videos. Keep up the good work. Oh, and like the t-shirt. My family and I have already been boycotting Seaworld for a little while.

I enjoy your videos.I too have had a long hard journey down the road called searching for truth. From being brought up babtist,to attending Christian schools as a child, studying Mormons,JWs,and where I come from is, I actually attended Seminary School, and when an instructor told me "it is about FAITH,nothing more,but understand...NOTHING LESS THAN FAITH".... I had to stop and think,and think I did. I appreciate the way you always approach this with respect for others and their beliefs. I hope that we athieists remember that we are talking to PEOPLE.People with feelings,ideas,inteligence, I think you set an example for other KZbin presenters. I know that you will have more subs in the future, and you should, I urge you to keep presenting the subject,as you do, with kindness,understanding,and a straighfowardness that is actually very refreshing. It is so great to have a black, female atheist in the community. It seems they are just way too many white men in atheism! Not that that is bad, I am one of them, but it is great to have the diversity. I am impressed with your ability to reason through this and come to atheism against the cultural pressure that you must have experienced coming from the African American community. I would love to hear some insight into the African American mindset as to why Christianity and belief in general is so pervasive. There has even been a fairly large Muslim influence in your community over the past several decades. I am not sure but it does seem like that is decreasing. I think if you explained a lot of your thinking and reasoning in your channel, you might be able to help make a dent in their Christian influence. I would love to hear about your journey from that point of view. Congrats on the thousand subscriber mark! I wish you nothing but the best!

You're welcome, glad I could help spread your video. I've been trying to figure out a way to get yours and other ex christians' messages to sports celebrities, so we can stop hearing them thank a god before they thank their parents of even themselves first for personal achievements. I'm from Seattle, and Richard Sherman is our top cornerback who just got a huge extension on his contract, worth something like 53 million over 4 years. At his press conference he thanked "god" before anyone else. I know that our QB Russell Wilson is a christian as well, and he also thanks god all the time during interviews and such. It amazes me that these guys have gone to college to learn, and it seems that none of them took any biology classes. If they did, they just dismissed the evidence because of their god belief. What can we do to get them to start thinking rationally, and for themselves? Thanks

Only thirteen hundred? If you continue the way you are going you will be right up there with WildwoodClaire and DarkMatter. You seem to be interested in the history and origins of religion, I would love to see a video of how the Jews ended up in Egypt and just exactly what was the real reason for the Exodus... when and why did they travel there, were they really slaves, how long did they stay, etc. My take is there was a famine so they migrated there, the Egyptians put them to work, their elders remembered stories about their origins and after so many years they just sorta migrated back. I am sure there is some historical "truth" in the bible but after playing "telephone" a lot got lost in the sauce. Again you seem to have a good bead and a knack for understanding and "translating" this, I would love to hear your take on it.

Hey ,girl .I mentioned in other comments. Did you know about discovered manuscripts in Nag Haddami ,Egypt and a gospel found in Tibet, called of the Holy 12,which would disprove the church as we know it and even conforms reencarnation and temporary hell theories of early christian beliefs and even prophecies of what actually happened to the church of how after the apostols,people will add to what Jesus actually taught and take from what he taught or lay on him fibbs he never taught. There is a prophecy of Buddha circa 500B.C., where Buddha prophetized that ''A great man of peace is slayed in the land of King David and a man of iron will take his place '' NOW, who took the place of Jesus on earth ???...The church !!! There are prophecies of Buddha of the coming of Jesus but are seemingly tampered with for christians to turn more people to the church but ,personally I think Buddha did and Jesus is an avatar ,plus based on Buddhistic prophecy ,in circa 4500, another avatar called Maitreya will come. ANYWAY !! You can check these gospels found in Nag Haddami how they make Jesus look human, a New Age avatar and female dignity...no wonder the church rejected them,plus christianity as we know it only started after Lutheranism during the Renassance I think but all throughout the ages up to 1600 or 1700 ? it was the catholic church the only church. I also heard a story gossip that the Vatican has about a sum of 84 kilometers of shelves full of christian scripts and ,lets not forget that the bible was 1st decided to be so in circa 170A.d and according to christians, the oldest manuscripts in their power is circa 250...or so they say........

The nice thing about boycotting Sea World: San Diego, is that you have the perfect excuse to visit the San Diego Zoo instead. Significantly less animal cruelty, slightly lower prices, more biodiversity, and the Zoo is right next to balboa park's dozens of museums too.
@AtheistEve10 жыл бұрын
Every time I go to a zoo I leave it feeling very sorry for the animals and depressed that we still have zoos. Animal sanctuaries are a bit better without the cages but it still makes me feel like I'm being entertained without the other animals' agreement. The last zoo I went to was in Melbourne and it confirmed my opinion that, if this is considered a good zoo, no zoo is very life-affirming for the caged and the uncaged alike.
@gotnothingclever10 жыл бұрын
nztvar I can respect that sentiment. There is definitely a certain melancholy about zoos in general. That being said, I never had that feeling whenever I visited the SDZ every other year with friends and relatives. I suppose the San Diego Zoo comes off in an especially favorable light when compared to the other zoos in California (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and of course Sea World is in the very same city). If you ever find yourself in Southern California and you want to give zoos another chance, then check out the SDZ. Your time won't be wasted. Because if you start to feel depressed about the caged animals; then just leave the zoo. You can spend your day visiting the balboa park science, art and history museums that are all within walking distance instead.
@AtheistEve10 жыл бұрын
gotnothingclever I'm very unlikely to find myself in Southern California. To be fair, I'm an introvert and I suffer slightly if I have to go to any public event or building. So all that sounds very unappealing to me... particularly the zoo.
