+Tommy Sandoval A lot do, although with 64hp, they were only favoured for downhill races. Not only the lack of weight, the appeal of these sporty kei cars (cappuccino, honda beat, Autozam AZ-1) were that they were a lot less to tax on (engine displacement size and weight of car tax) compared to say an NA MX-5, Nissan S-body RWD cars and AE86s. Kei cars have more options of where to park their cars too.

You said that was a T28? That is way too much turbo for a 660cc engine. That turbo is capable of near 300whp on SR20DET's. (I know I'm way too late to guess but I'll try anyway) So if you can get this to spool, and can run a good amount of extra boost and supporting mods this should be capable of 110-120whp. But it might take until 7000rpm to spool it. Without extra mods just running a bigger turbo at near stock boost levels...then probably only 20-30whp.

I once owned one for about 3 months . I only just fit in it and that's still out for debate . My mate laughed his head off ever time he saw me in it along with anyone else who saw me driving it lol it did rev to 9000 rpm quite easily I think the English ones had a bit more boost I think they put out 82 bhp instead if the imported Japanese version which are 64 bhp . If you get the engine up to around 120 bhp They are quick

30% is a good increase. Should have the later model Cappuccino which has the K6a motor with 17% more torque. Anyway, love these cars, great for around town and despite the low power, its more adequate due to the 700kg weigh and totally fine on the highway.

The stock engine is fine for Japan, but in the US, the Hayabusa engine has been done before and a better option would be a G13b or other Suzuki engine. The US is jacking up the prices of all the 25 year old cars here in Japan.

103.5WHP and 130HP at the crank. should be about right for their turbo. The factory upgrade should be a ht07 turbo from a 1L wagon r wide which can go up to about 135-150hp at the crank. providing they put a good amount of boost through the car. if not then they need to try harder.
