Nice to see somebody else using the electric water pumps
@BoostedCyclePerformance3 жыл бұрын
They definitely have their place. With the power I’m going after even the new brushless fuel pumps are still a bit too demanding for the Busa electrical system. Mechanical was definitely the best choice

What’s the reason for the electric water pump over the stock mechanical pump ?
@BoostedCyclePerformance2 жыл бұрын
Doing that because there’s a mechanical 6 gallon per min fuel pump in the stock water pumps location.
@benjaminfrappier92223 жыл бұрын
Excuse my lack of knowledge, but I'm curious about tail angle? Assuming the inner part of the fender is the first thing to contact the wheel under full compression, Could it be for greater clearance? Do you think the modification is intentional, or a defect form the manufacturer?
@BoostedCyclePerformance3 жыл бұрын
Good question. The inner fender is part of the rear sub frame. I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty that the sub frame is almost exactly the same dimensions as the OEM sub frame as the stock seat slip in to place with ease. Where I’m picking up the extra angle is from the snap on clamps that are part tail itself. Those are bumping the back of the tail up almost 1/2”. I have a few ideas on how to fix it. I’ll save that towards the end when I have all the carbon bodywork in. It will take a few days of fitting to get all the panels perfect.

Great content. I am on my second upgrade of my gen 1 busa to a gt35 and methanol with a standalone ECU. have you done any video on adding abs rings to your wheels to enable data logging front wheel speed?
@BoostedCyclePerformance3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! No I haven’t. I can say that I’m working on a bracket that attaches to the lower for pinch bolts that allows you to mount a speed sensor that reads off the the bolts that hold the rotor to the hub. You can tap in to the factory speed sensor for logging mph.
@TurboBusaDrag3 жыл бұрын
@@BoostedCyclePerformance cool I was wondering if that was an option. Can a hall sensor pickup the bolt heads for a signal?
@BoostedCyclePerformance3 жыл бұрын
Should be able to. I’m using on on my mustang point at the back of the wheel studs and it works.

I’m not a fan of carbon fiber wheels. They don’t hold up as well as steel wheels under sudden acceleration. I’ve seen them grenade all over the track when you try to leave the line. 1/10 would not recommend to a friend.
