Quick 5 minute video on our new 100 Gallon water catchment experiment. We also share our diagram for our larger full scale water catchment plans. We hope to start on that project later this year.
This is our second small scale experiment and we are using the new building for catchment in this case.

New sub here… this is great! We’re just starting to talk about water catchment so we’ll be catching up on the other videos you did on the topic. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching and subscribing! We plan to do a very large water catchment system for the property, hoping to start it later this year. We've done some small experiments (the one here, as well as, if you watch the Bathhouse build, we did our first experiments there, we still use that system in the bathhouse, amazing how good that tiny thing works) The larger system I am super excited for! I will definitely do some videos around that when we get started. Happy to hear what you all do as well! Here's a diagram of what I've been thinking about for the big system. It also includes the math I did around quantity of water to cover non-rainy months. seamrogcreek.com/diagrams/Water-Catchment-2022.png

Good to see you making a few YT’s again. I tried to find your email to drop you a line but it’s not on your ‘About’ page. It’s been 7 weeks since we left (sold) our house & we are now camped in the Tasmanian wilderness …… living in a Wall Tent 🤦‍♂️. What a challenge. I’m getting really old and it’s changed my perspective on a few things, I’m not sure if it’s the 70km/h winds that have been battering our tent/putting my propane gas shower out or the Tasmanian Devils screaming outside my tent at 2am in the morning 😂 Anyway, good to see your still at it, due to our fast approaching winter (southern hemisphere) I’ve decided to change my plan a little bit to get our offgrid life here started a bit quicker. Unfortunately my failing health hasn’t helped much either……anyhooo

If you go to the about page and scroll to the bottom there should be a "Business Inquiries" section where you can get our email address Wow a wall tent in the Tasmanian Wilderness! That does sound like a challenge. I mean just the description of 70km/h winds and screaming Tasmanian Devils at 2am is enough to explain the word "challenge" 🤣 Take care of yourself and keep us posted on your progress. Getting started is the hardest part... well its all hard, but you know what I mean

@@SeamrógCreek It must be because I’m looking on a phone that option isn’t available, so I will break out the notebook later and see if I can see that. Yeah, with my mobility problems, my wife is concerned I’ve bitten off more than I can chew and now I’m starting to doubt myself. It’s frustrating to be young in the head but struggling with neurological problems & then you toss screaming devils, whip snakes, big spiders and a wild brumby who likes to trample in amongst your ground mounted solar panels (read > Solar panels that are zip tied to 6’ Steel pickets that were driven into the ground at 40 Deg)….. 🤦‍♂️ Last night a log had rolled & was touching the side if the wood stove & burst into flames as the stringy bark on the edge of it caught fire 😳, the hard bit with the cooler weather (remember we are climatized to the tropics) and a little stove is even with a good piece of iron bark timber the fire buns it out in about an hour/ hour and a quarter so I have to keep getting up or the fire goes out. We are moving to plan b, where we scale back my dream to build and perhaps look at someone else’s partly completed project, which just is a bit disappointing but might make it possible to survive the fast approaching winter 😂
