Hi Henry, just for your non US based viewers the VFR squawk code in Europe is 7000. You can set a default in most transponders so can hit one button to squawk VFR.

How long does it take to learn to fly a gyrocopter and cost ?

There are a lot of factors involved as far as time is concerned.. the student's schedule and age are factors. The FAA requires a minimum of 20 hours. 15 hours of dual instruction and 5 hours of solo flight. The cost is about $7,000.
