[106] Dillon 750XL Not Indexing? Replacing Ring Indexer and Realigning the Toolhead

I used a 550 for several years but never had the need for a 650 or 750. It’s still interesting to see how these maintenance issues are resolved.

Dillon states themselves that the alignment tool is not necessary on the 750, unlike the older 650 and 550C/B. In fact, they no longer send it to you if you have a warranty issue with the ring indexer assembly (which they will gladly send you).

Broken ring indexer…. Common … I went armanov metal ring indexer…. So far so good

It's always the same with progressives presses. Even Dillon uses cheap plastic parts that will break sooner or later. Difficult to justify with this brand.

You want the weakest point to break before more damage is done. Especially on an autodrive.
