They said in the chapter she needs to stay on the moon for about 4-5 years in order to stabilize the finality power and reduce Honkai activity on earth. But they have internet on the moon and Kiana can just play online games or use her powers to talk with her freidns whenever she wants. When everything's good and she comes back to earth she said she wants to use her void powers to travel all around he world.

Part 1 is over. Honkai Impact recently started its Part 2 story. In Genshin terms, imagine the teyvat arc is over and we traveled to all the countries and reunited with our sibling and after that a new 6-7 years story arc starts. And yeah, you can make an account and just play story without needing to worry about gacha or dailies. Though keep in mind that when Hoyo started this game, they were still an indie company and the first couple chapters are basicly a modernized version of the story of their previous game (houkai gakuen), so writing and story presentation will differ alot. The first chapters are like only a couple sentences at the start and end of each stage, but later you get open world maps with exploration and multiple hours of story content and animated cutscenes for each chapter.

It is the finale of honkai impact part 1 story. Now we are currently in the main story of honkai impact part 2. Imagine it like the finale of genshin's teyvat arc after we met every archon and everything regarding khaenriah has been resolved. And afterwards a whole new story arc starts.
